A boutique hotel located in the heart of Kota Kinabalu, making it convenient to get in and around. It is along Jalan Pantai, which is at the back of the famous Gaya Street Lane. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The location is so strategic that most places are reachable within walking distance. It takes a few minutes to get to Suria Sabah Mall, Jesselton Mall, and the Jesselton Point (the place to get your ferry for island hopping and Gaya Island Resort). On the other hand, you may walk up to the waterfront market area, where fresh and dried seafood are easily available. There's also the Pubs/ Bars at the waterfront and Night Seafood stalls at Jalan Tun Fuad Stephen, which is along the waterfront stretch. Love the cosy feeling of the hotel. The frontdesk service was impressive and always approachable with a smile ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ. There are sitting areas available at the reception with water dispensers, coffee tea making facilities, and a microwave to heat your meals. There is a lift and stairways to get to the rooms. The room is relevantly small and may be too compact if you're travelling with huge luggage. The window panels aren't soundproof, I could hear the sound of the flight flying off, and the window doesn't serve any purpose of view. Otherwise, it's good and comfortable with good room amenities and a portable fridge. The bathroom was perfect with multiple shower options and good water pressure as well. Bathroom amenities were complete. Hairdryer and razors are available upon request at the reception. Unfortunately, on the day we arrived, there were no towels kept in the room, and we had to wait for a bit after requesting. Housekeeping may need to be a little more detailed to their task. Our room were not properly cleaned the next day, leaving behind the garbage bag and not replacing a new one. The biggest hassle is to find a parking that took us a few rounds until we found a spot. Remember to get parking coupons if you're staying on a regular working day (Mondays to Saturdays). Parking coupons are easily available from the Orange ๐ŸŠ convenient store around the area itself or at a DBKK counter thereat. Check with the front desk, and they will be able to guide you.

The Seraya Hotel is Kota Kinabalu is a pleasant space that is conveniently located near the waterfront and other must-go to places in the city including top restaurants, malls, and port areas. The staff were all kind and helpful and can speak English which is of great help to foreigners. The room is clean and spacious enough to be comfortable. It isnโ€™t a luxury hotel by any means but they do make sure that guests are comfortable and at ease. One key example is that only Seyara Hotel uses international ports instead of the 2-port electrical socket found everywhere else as well as all the other hotel we stayed at in Borneo. It was definitely more convenient for guests which I really appreciated. Internet is fast and they also offer free tea and use of the expresso machine down at the reception area.

I stayed here for 4 nights with my son and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent โ€” right along Gaya Street. Many of the โ€œmust-tryโ€ Chinese eateries are within a 5-minute walk. The Saturday night market and Sunday morning market are just across the street. Suria Sabah Mall is about 5 minutes away, and Jesselton Jetty is around 8 minutesโ€™ walk. There is a supermarket (Bataras) within 2 mins walk from the hotel too. ||Service was excellent throughout our stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Shah who always greeted us with a smile and assisted us promptly with our room change.||The room was a bit small but comfortable and well-equipped. Bathroom slippers, shaver, and other amenities are available upon request. Toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo, towels, tea/coffee facilities, and two bottles of water are provided daily.||There is also a self-service coffee and tea counter, along with a water filter for guests to refill their bottles or enjoy a drink.||Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay. The service and location were superb โ€” it really felt like home, and weโ€™ll definitely...
