Fly Me To — Restaurant in George Town

Although this cafe provide a beauty environment and special tent design for dine in but I won’t go to this cafe for second time anymore. Few worst experiences in this cafe that I would like to share.. I tried to contact them but kept unavailable then I leave a message via WhatsApp regards reservation of tent for dine in then almost 5 pm they just replied and said direct walk in no reservation..Well, I walk in to cafe at 7pm then lots of customers in cafe then the waitress told me take half an hour for the tent so she let us sit at long bar side first ( no air conditioning and no wind at all) and will arrange tent for us once available..The waitress kept told us to order first so I decide to make order first and wait at long bar..I’m not sure that is this the way to trick customer to stay at their cafe..Honestly, the foods also so so only but take 45 mins to serve so patient needed. After 1 hour, I tried to ask the waitress about the availability of the tent since I saw available tent but she told me got earlier reservation customer, seriously, I disappointed due they said no reservation just walk-in then when I’m here she said reservation customers first and they wait from 6pm till now.. OK! Just be understanding and accept this explanation and I had finished my first round 3 main courses and 3 drinks and I’m still waiting. However, I spot that got an available tent but no one clean up and no one going to tell me that is my turn then I try to wait but until I also finished my second round foods then that available tent still the same situation so I was frust and direct ask the waitress that I had waited almost 2 hours until all of my orders finished but still no one told me that can I change from long bar side to tent, then the waitress said oh you are waiting for the tent? Then ok, I helped to clean up for you..I just felt like speechless and then I told her to hurry up and please serve my dessert at the same time.. Another frustrated things happened, I ordered lemon cheese cake at 7pm but I choose to serve after main course however they didn’t reserve the dessert for me at all then replace the chocolate flavour for me and said to gave a free drink as compensate and apologise..I really don’t want to said anything anymore..Totally disappointed.. Regards the price of foods and drinks, I felt quite expensive and not worth while we having them at long bar (no air conditioning and no wind at all). If they could arrange the tent place while available for us then I could accept that the price of foods and drinks. If you want to dine in here make sure you have angelic patience..My own experience and opinion only. Wish they could improve their arrangement...

Agree no more that the environment is nice and insta worthy but the floor (full of stones) is quite dangerous for both customers and workers. Most of them (workers) nearly fall down numerous times while serving the food. Secondly, for the food and drinks I felt not worth the price because I personally felt its overpriced...... (will be 1 time visit for me)

And I need highlight about customer service... Ermmm, is terrible.. I was told by one of the worker that not to fold their menu... I was like what??? Let make things clear.. Actually the menu itself already full of folded marked, old and full of loy tape and tears mark.. So definately the menu will fall down itself into half due to the paper is thin and they do not put the effort to change or maintaining the menu into new piece. I felt is quite rude to talk like this, maybe they do not know how to speak nicely? Maybe? Other than that, I'm not clear with their drinks section on their menu as the title written "coffee" and the drinks title selections is not related to the title "coffee".. So I just politely ask for the explanation due to the drink selection name is weird... For example : Sunny Sunny.. How I'm suppose to know what is sunny sunny right? Coz over there do not write any descriptions. What they answer me is "normal drink"... I was like.. What do you mean by normal drink? So I just gave up... Then I just ordered really a normal drink 🤣😅 I quite disappointed on their customer service. I hope they well trained, if we paid with this...

Decor or Ambience: Decor is nice, something unique. Ambience is presentable. Certainly not a place for disable people, as you need to use lift and climb stairs.

Photography: A place to take photos, but you maybe a little disappointed when you notice your smart phone or normal camera equipment can only do so much and majorly is just Komtar Tower. For those who has massive photography equipment maybe it's worthwhile.

Dining: I am a vegetarian, hence choices are limited for me, but food is really a luxury at this place. For some reason, it's super duper expensive. For vegetarians, they serve "beyond" veg steak, not to my taste buds, but only for that reason I find money value. Else they really need good chef to spice up their food. Expensive without taste. (Can't comment anything on non-veg food ya)

Culture: It's weird that this restaurant, seeks you to pay first for the food instead of like any other restaurants. No idea why they do that even if you are sitting at the table. I can totally understand a minimum payment for the tents but table? Hmmm...
