Update: We loved it last time. Loved it again this time. The crew are very efficient and work with a smile on their face.
I had the toast set with salted kopi. Perfect. My wife went to her favourite from our previous visit - Kelantanese chicken curry. She loved it still and washed it down with a lemon and plum hot drink. In addition, we shared a delectable char koay teow. We selected a less spicy version which suited us just fine. We will keep coming back 👍😍😋
Older review: Absolutely amazing. Simple place with outstanding food. Local delicacies served by a team that enjoys its work. My family and I tried the toast set, the Kelantanese chicken and the Asam Laksa. The toast set came with two half boiled eggs, a generous lathering of kaya and cold butter and coffee. I paid a little extra to try the hot salted kopi. Each item was tasty, and portion sizes were good, making for a hearty breakfast. The salted Kopi was a new flavour for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Kelantanese chicken was a huge portion and the gravy tasted rich. The potatoes were not a bad addition. The laksa was superb with a piece of fresh sardine that did wonders for the dish. We sat on the top floor. The aircon was working fine and we could look out to Kimberly Street. The space is decorated well, and yet kept very simple. A great find and we're...

KH Guide & Rating: • Accessibility: 4/5 (Conveniently located on the popular Kimberly Street, but parking can be a hassle) • Cleanliness: 3.5/5 partly due to theme orientated for the feel. • Ambience: 4/5 (Subject to personal preference) • Food Quality: The prawn in the char kuey teow tasted slightly salty and had an unnatural, firm texture. However, the dish itself was flavorful. The kaya butter toast was enjoyable and worth a try especially their kaya paste is not those extremely sweet type. The soft-boiled egg was fresh, though not Kampung Ed’s quality.
The lai fun noodles were expected to be chewier and less prone to breaking into small pieces. While the soup was thick, it lacked the distinctive asam laksa flavor typically found at Penang street stalls. Personally this dish not to my liking.

Coffee was STRONG! 💪☕️💪☕️💪 Traditional drip preparation Can have with sugar or condensed milk.
Toast and eggs are yummy together. Kaya spread is sweet, so it is nicely blanced with the soft boiled eggs (with soy sauce and savory seasonings).
It was fun to try traditional Malaysian coffee. Preparation and flavor is similar to Balinese coffee. If you like strong coffee, you musy try this place.
Staff was very polite and professional Space is large- 2 floors with ample seating. 2nd floor has nice tables and an orange colored sofa. There is a bar seating area that overlooks the street below.
If you're hungry for a full meal, there is a Chinese dumpling place next door. And so many local cafes and restaurants nearby!
Highly recommend this...
