I am compelled to share my incredibly disappointing experience at Inside Scoop Mount Austin and warn others to think twice before visiting this establishment. My family and I decided to celebrate Father's Day there, but what should have been a joyous occasion turned into an absolute nightmare.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a seemingly endless wait as a family of either 8 or 7 individuals took an exorbitant amount of time to place their order. Frustrated by the delay and the sight of more customers piling up behind us, I approached one of the servers directly to request assistance. But instead of addressing my concern professionally, the server unleashed a shrill scream, humiliating me in front of my parents and other customers.

It was bewildering to witness this outrageous behavior, especially when there were five servers present, apparently engrossed in catering to a single family. The lack of attention to other customers was evident as people grew increasingly agitated, with some even deciding to abandon the wait after being subjected to an unreasonable amount of time.

The service we received, or rather the lack thereof, was beyond unacceptable. Inside Scoop Mount Austin clearly needs to invest in basic training for its servers, teaching them the virtues of common courtesy and respect. A little kindness goes a long way, and it is unfortunate that this establishment fails to understand this fundamental principle.

This incident left a sour taste in our mouths and tainted what should have been a special occasion. The level of service we encountered was appalling, and I cannot fathom how such behavior is tolerated within the organization. Inside Scoop Mount Austin should be ashamed of itself for allowing its customers to be treated with such disdain.

I implore anyone considering a visit to Inside Scoop Mount Austin to reconsider. Unless drastic changes are made and the staff is taught the basic principles of customer service, this establishment is simply not worth your time or money. Save yourself the embarrassment and frustration and seek out an establishment that values its patrons and provides the service they deserve.

My hope is that the management of Inside Scoop Mount Austin takes this review to heart and undertakes the necessary steps to rectify their severe shortcomings. Until then, I will make it my mission to dissuade others from subjecting themselves to the abhorrent treatment that my family...

Their ice cream selection is impressive, with a perfect mix of classic and local flavors. I highly recommend trying their Durian and strawberry matcha mochi all incredibly rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The freshness of the ingredients truly stands out in every bite.

Service is efficient, and the staff are always happy to let you try samples before choosing. The place is clean, well-kept, and perfect for a casual outing with friends, family, or even a solo treat.

Very nice and light and airy waffles. Chocolate ice cream was nice too. Caution: may need a big wallet.

Revisited: Reduced from 5 star to 3 star. The waffle was not balanced. One side was thinner and the other side was double the thickness. It was very obvious it didn’t look even. But was used nonetheless.

Revisited: 3.5 stars. We ordered double scoop ice cream cup and chose mint choc. But the mint choc pan on display was almost empty. The lady server was trying her best to scrape the side walls of the pan to fill our cup. I told my wife “honey, you are getting the side scraps”..fortunately they heard me, and took out a new pan from the freezer. If not for me saying that, probably get the old side scraps.
