Ordered skewers and small plates because their mains are mostly rice bowls? People mostly come here for drinks and small bites I guess which I figured with the ambiance. It's sort of like a restaurant + bar kind of feel. But lack the japanese service.
They served a "zensai" at the start of the meal, which we thought was complimentary, (which will make a pretty good impression), unfortunately it was charged RM5, despite us spending RM150+ there. For an outlet such as this, it makes no sense to serve a zensai and yet never bother to inform the customers that we will have to pay for it.
Skewers are either hit or miss. Mostly quite bland. Eggplant is definitely a miss. Please do not bother. Huge portion but not worth the price. Sake clams are delicious but size is pathetic. They call it clams when the size is smaller than lala?
I really wouldn't suggest or come back again....
Read moreOrdered one box of Uni here and they provide unlimited refill of sushi rice , seaweed and wasabi. The Uni is fresh and satisfying ,it will be prefect if they served it with Japanese sushi seaweed but not Korean olive oil seaweed ,the Rm23/ Glass plum wine ( I forget the name )tastes good for me . The skewers taste good too although the price is at the high side but acceptable. I cannot say this is the best skewers i ever had but this is one of the best I’ve ever tasted in JB . My friend and I are both satisfied the dining experience and service they provide. We appreciate the little service too, they provided hand towel roll instead of tissue paper for drying after washing our hands ,thumbs up for a restaurant can make this...

The tteokbokki is fried and not bad but the popcorn chicken that comes with it is normal Duck breast skewers were nicely grilled but expensive. The restaurant even "ran out of" rice to serve our remaining dons. I'm sorry but what kind of Japanese restaurants runs out of rice? and it was only about 6.30pm, it wasn't even crowded, it was just us. Alcohol selection is cheapy priced though but I would not recommend this...
