Restaurant Review: Ali, Muthi, and Ah Hock
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ali, Muthi, and Ah Hock, a local Malaysian restaurant, for breakfast. Located in the heart of the city, this hidden gem offers a delightful culinary experience that showcases the rich flavors of Malaysian cuisine.
Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was simple yet charming, creating a cozy ambiance that instantly made me feel at home. The friendly staff members added to the welcoming vibe, providing excellent service throughout my dining experience.
As for the food, it was nothing short of exceptional. The menu boasted an array of traditional Malaysian dishes, each prepared with meticulous attention to detail. I opted for the Nasi Lemak, a fragrant coconut rice dish accompanied by sambal, fried anchovies, peanuts, and a perfectly cooked egg. The flavors were bold and well-balanced, leaving me craving for more.
Additionally, I tried their Roti Canai, a flaky and crispy flatbread served with a flavorful curry dipping sauce. The bread was freshly made, and the curry had a delightful combination of spices that tantalized my taste buds. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and content.
Overall, Ali, Muthi, and Ah Hock is a hidden culinary gem that deserves recognition. From the warm ambiance to the mouthwatering dishes, this restaurant offers an authentic taste of Malaysian cuisine. Whether you're a local or a visitor, I highly recommend paying them a visit for a breakfast experience that will leave you wanting to come...
Read moreI would not give any stars but I needed to make this comment. Visited the Ali Muthu and Ah Hock Dang Wangi branch at around 3-4pm. When we arrived, no one came to serve us. There were about 5 waiters/waitresses at that time and they were all not busy (it’s not lunch time and the fact that they closed down half of the dining area shows that it’s not crowded and it’s not during the peak hours). We went to this dining area which was closed (we were not informed) and the waitress rudely ordered us to another small dining area with only a few available tables. Still, until now no one served us, so the 4 of us just sat on the available empty big tables. Then, we saw a group of the restaurant’s employees talking behind our backs while pointing at us which really confused us. I can hear them saying that how can we sit together, what are they doing, this is not allowed etc. Finally a long hair waitress came up and told us (in a very very rude way, as if we ignored her instructions) that the table was only for 2 person so we quickly compiled. Again no one ever told us that and we somehow got scolded by this! You could’ve informed us in a usual/normal way but why do you have to scold us? None of us had a pleasant dining experience and will never...
Read moreA very popular kopitiam near Chinatown that finally open another branch in Dang Wangi, but occupying two shops instead, hence larger than the nearby Chinatown branch instead with more seats and tables available, though SOP still applies. It is very popular among cyclists and visitors on weekends morning so it is always full house and have to queue and wait outside of restaurant till your next turn. Inside the restaurant environment also quite crowded as well, but the place is very clean and comfortable. While they do still provide hardcopy of menu, however their ordering system takes at another level as they no longer rely on waiters nor provides the paper to write down the food ordering list, but instead each tables provides QR rode which requires customers to order via smartphone connected with internet. No registration nor login required, just simple ordering will done which is still a good thing. Ordered the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng, although expensive, but their fried chicken were quite huge and crunchy that I felt want to eat another order (only if there aren't much customers waiting outside the restaurant due to...
