Read moreI ended up here for dinner just to wait out the bad traffic. The place seemed to be appealing and bustling every time I drove past it so thought to give them a try. I wasn't very hungry so ordered a plain naan and tandoori chicken. I also ordered a cincau ais as a drink.
The wait was very long for the naan - and I had finished my drink even before the food arrived. The cincau was super disappointing. The drink was clear like water and the cincau bits were like basil seeds. Altogether I think there was just one tablespoon full of the basil seed sized cincau which prolly contributed to the diluted drink.
When the naan arrived, my tandoori chicken did not and I had to remind them twice before they chopped up one for me 🙄 The naan was not fluffy and the sauces accompanying it was just meh. Not flavourful at all and tasted bland. The chicken was just alright but still was very under seasoned and under marinated.
Pricing wise it was average but won't be...
Read moreBukhara Rice... This is our Go To especially since the place is all spruced up on my last visit last month. Colourful chairs and clean, sparkling tables. I like sitting in the corral with the high-backed seats facing each other. The right kind of seating for 🧸 Teddy-bear sized, me,of course. During Raya Qurban, Idham,my nephew treated me to the Bukhara Rice in-situ. Yummy. Topped it off with Chai. Usually Hamid ordered take-out while waiting for me to finish sessions. Very convenient. Bangsar outlet is out of the way. It's a real advantage since it's on vantage front. The transport can even wait while I hop off to get my Chai, the last time Hamid forgot. One thing that's missing...pakoras and South Asian sweet meats for...
