🍃 𝐃𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 (RM13.90) Its crazy that all the vege’s and curries here are refillable ! If you are a big eater you’ll def get your money’s worth here. The vege’s we had was pumpkin, cabbage and fried bittergourd which they rotate and their 4 curries which they have daily was a nice consistency and strong on taste too ! 🐑 𝐌𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢 (RM27.90) Briyani Rice was super aromatic and flavourful 💯 I found the mutton slighty tough tho so I think you should go with chicken ! 🦑 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐲 𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐝 (RM14.90) 🐓 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚 (RM8.90) 🐟 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐢 𝐟𝐫𝐲 (RM13.90) Tried one of each of their meats and I have to say they were all good on its own, each cooked with different spices and methods - my fav was the chicken :) 🥦 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐲 (RM7.90) This had a similar batter to the squid, but love that the pieces still had a crunch to it ! 🥭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢 RM12.90 Mango lassi was heavier on the youghurt taste - but i enjoyed it, very refreshing and they even put popping boba in it ! 🫖 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐭𝐞𝐚 (RM12.90 per pot for 2) Their tea was not too strong on the spices which was a great balance for me

It was my first experience dining here. A friend invited for lunch and he wanted to try at this modern South Indian Restaurant franchise outlet. We ordered Banana Leaf Meal with Chicken Masala. The serving was really nice with delicious vegetables. I loved the vege curry (kurma) which is also best to be eaten with chapati or roti canai. Service was excellent and fast despite the full occupancy. The Chicken Masala was nice but less spicy, maybe lack in black pepper. Plain water can be considered to be given free or at a minimum rate, not RM2.

Tucked into a clean and vibrant space, Banana Bistro serves up an absolutely satisfying banana leaf dining experience. Every dish we tried delivered flavor, spice, and a sense of indulgence!

✨ The Highlights:

Lamb Shank Curry – Fall-off-the-bone tender, deeply spiced, and rich with aromatic masala. A showstopper that’s worth every bite.

Briyani Rice – Fragrant, fluffy, and speckled with nuts and raisins, perfectly paired with their tangy cucumber raita and curry gravies.

Fried Calamari & Fried Chicken – Crispy, juicy, and boldly seasoned. Great for sharing (but you’ll want to keep it to yourself).

Toasts with Kaya Butter – Simple yet nostalgic. Toasted just right with gooey sweetness inside – a comforting finish after all the spice.

Drinks – From teh ais to lime soda to the ultra-rich Milo Dinosaur, they’ve got your thirst covered in style and satisfaction.

🌿 Vibe & Service: Family-friendly, relaxed atmosphere, fast service with the classic buzzer system. Great for groups, casual dinners, or anyone craving spice-packed banana leaf goodness.

💡 Pro Tip: Come hungry and don’t skip the lamb shank –...

We visited this restaurant yesterday for Mother's Day lunch. Was pleasantly surprised to find the food was good. We ordered chicken masala, fried squid and fried fish and banana leaf sets for 7pax. The chicken masala was average, basic chicken masala. Fried fish XL on the other hand was a bummer, could be better as the fish was too thin and hard, didn't taste like we're eating fish at all. Perhaps could do better hereinafter. The fried squid however was delicious, recommended. Not to forget the drinks were great too ! Teh Tarik was good. Service at the restaurant was amazing, very warm and welcoming servers, fulfilling all our tiny requests and even gave us free sundae ice-cream on the house for our mothers. For people with small kids or babies/toddlers this place is a good one, as baby chairs are provided and servers are very sweet to give our baby her own papadom to munch on.

Overall a good experience, will come back again for the squid. Thank you...
