Bad experience – felt discriminated by a waiter named Syahmi (a tall guy).

We chose a table for four as we had several bags and few pieces of luggage with us, but Syahmi insisted we sit at a table for two. While we understand that it's common to seat two people at a smaller table, but the restaurant wasn’t even busy or crowded at the time, the way Syahmi handled it was unnecessarily rude.

Just a minute later, another couple (same race with Syahmi) walked in and requested a table for four. Surprisingly, Syahmi allowed them to sit there without any question.

We don't understand why they were given different treatment. Why were they treated differently? What kind of double standard is this? Such biased treatment was hard to ignore.

Regarding the food: I requested chicken thigh for my order Nasi Lemak, but I were served a drumstick without explanation. The staff only informed me that chicken thigh was unavailable after serving the dish. When we tried to cancel the order, he then suddenly said that chicken thigh was available after all. This kind of inconsistency is very disappointing.

To top it all off, Syahmi (the waiter also cashier) charged me for the Nasi Lemak—even after I had clearly canceled it. I only noticed it on the total bill afterward. This is completely unacceptable and feels dishonest.

Staff training is urgently needed, especially when it comes to fairness, professionalism, and customer service. A restaurant in a mall setting should uphold higher standards, not allow...

Not happy with service from Daryl or the portion size. I ordered the Laksa Mee and it’s a shame because the food tastes really good it just doesn’t match the picture.

I asked to replace both the tofu and fucuk with egg as I’m intolerant to those and they replaced the 2 large add ons / main parts of dish with 1 half egg haha (worth pennies) which objectively I think is not really a replacement for 2 of the main add-ons so I had to request to get one more half egg.

The meat portion was half if not less than what the picture showed (unfortunately I didn’t take a picture) . They said no to adding a few more pieces more to match the portion after I asked.

The food side of things is up to the kitchen which I’m not happy with and I don’t think it’s good service but the main part of the complaint is, when I asked the member of staff (Daryl) to ask the kitchen staff if they can accommodate this he told me he will go ask. Daryl went away for minimum 10 minutes and I could see him walking around and talking with other colleagues who were all sitting together round a table completely forgetting about us as I wait for 15 minutes total . No one came back and I had to ask another member of staff (Deanni) who was very kind and prompt she helped me out within 2 minutes I got an extra half egg but not extra chicken and she apologised. By then the...

Came here a few times over the year. Couldn't remember much about the food I tried. The taste was generally acceptable. The presentation was odd ie. each component had its compartment on a tray and the tray was huge, taking up a lot of table space. They have limited big tables and tend to force smaller groups to take smaller tables. It was annoying on my first visit. Today I wanted to take a big table. The restaurant was quite packed as it's dinner time and I saw only one staff member was clearing a nearby table. She asked how many of us. I didn't answer immediately and went straight to an unoccupied table. She immediately grew impatient and asked again. I replied and she at first said the table was not cleared. I said I could wait but she insisted that I move to a smaller table and raised her voice saying that the table was for a bigger group and it's dinner time now in a condescending tone. I'd had enough of the rude service and left the premise instantly. It was totally intolerable. The food wasn't impressive enough for me to remember but the bad services were definitely memorable. Won't visit the same place again in...

So I dropped by Tea Garden NU Sentral on 21/09/2025 around 1:23 PM. Meal came out by 1:32 PM, super fast. The nasi lemak with fried chicken was solid, and the cincau… first time trying, not too sweet, really refreshing. But honestly, what stood out the most was the service. Muhammad Daryl Bin Amrudin, the cashier, was just amazing. Super polite, respectful, and the way he kept calling me abang and ending with Terima kasih every time.. small things, but it really made me feel welcomed. He was kind from start to finish, like genuinely enjoying his work, not just doing it for the sake of it. Props to him, service like that makes me wanna come back as much as the food itself. Just a small piece of advice… maybe consider lowering the drinks pricing a little, since they’re already almost the same as meal prices. And perhaps remind the cleaners not to wipe tables right next to people who are still eating—there was a lady in hijab who did that during my visit. 🙌

Decent, but not entirely satisfying. My order didn’t reach the kitchen and after 20 minutes I had to ask, only to be told to place it again – probably due to the lunch rush. On top of that, the veggie noodles were swimming in a thick starchy sauce, which wasn’t very tasty. Also, I was reminded (I had forgotten again) that when ordering a basic hot black coffee you need to say you don’t want sugar if you prefer it plain; a Malay custom I really should be used to by now. Overall, not a bad experience, but the food could definitely be improved.

The first drink was my father's, Teh Tarik..Disappointed with the volume of of the teh tarik as it was filled half of the cup and the bubbles were on top..But good job to the staff who corrected my father's drink by making a new one and was done the right way. Second drink was no problem, until.... My drink was the last one to be served, just an iced milo..not only it was delayed, my milo was also close to tasteless like milo kosong.. Overall, the food was fine..just please improve your service and quality..staff was very helpfull tho
