Bara On Six | Steakhouse and Bar — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Bara on six offers a 2 course Set lunch for RM$58 nett with the choice of main course with a starter or dessert option. However they do not have an option of 3 course set lunch and we were told that if we want dessert, we will have to choose from the Ala carte menu which doesn’t really make sense. Hopefully the management can look into this. We started with Pumpkin focaccia which was served in a pan. Looks good but lack of taste. My appetizer was Trio Mushroom Soup with milk foam, truffle oil and roasted mushroom. It was delicious. For main course, we had 4 options - beef, fish, chicken or vegetarian risotto. I chose the butter free range chicken. Considering the quality of food served, the price for this set lunch for RM58 nett is pretty unbelievable. One of us had dessert instead of appetizer and chose the upside down pineapple cake with gula melaka ice cream. The pineapple cake is very tasty, not too dry and pairs nicely with the ice cream. Such an underrated gem!! Came here for the views which was amazing 🤩 and was pleasantly delighted to find that the food was so yum!! Drinks were delicious. TWO complementary bites was literally an eattttt. The focaccia with butter and olive tapenade was just divine and the bruschetta was the perfect bite big slay ❤️‍🔥For entree we got the crab salad and scallops which were delectable. Scallops was definitely highlight of the meal. For mains we got the salt baked sea bass which was flavourful and tasty🤭 came with a side of vegetables that were well cooked. Slow braised beef was literally just pulling apart beautifully and the mash and sauce worked perfectly together🤝🤝 The staff were fantastic, genuinely kind and attentive people. I had a wonderful dining experience last night. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly, going the extra mile to make us feel welcome. They even offered my son colored pencils and paper to keep him entertained while we enjoyed our meal—such a thoughtful touch!

We were pleasantly surprised to get a window seating area without any additional charge or minimum spend requirement, contrary to what we had read in previous reviews. The food was absolutely scrumptious. We tried both the grass-fed rib eye and striploin steak, and they were cooked to perfection. The side dishes were equally impressive, complementing the steaks beautifully.

To top it all off, the dessert served for my husband’s birthday was on the house—a lovely gesture that made the evening even more special.
