If we could give zero, we would. Honestly the staff have zero customer care here, especially the manager Sky, who from the get go wasn't really interested in what we had to say. They argued with us over 2 missed breakfasts and insisted that we should pay again for a buffet breakfast that we did not have the first time either. Firstly, when speaking with the staff, they were laughing and had to come to speak with us in groups, they wished not to resolve it so we had to wait 4 hours to even speak to the manager, because she wasn't on shift. We waited and after 3 hours went back because we hadn't heard anything, to be told she had sent us a message (which she obviously hadn't). Miraculously, an hour later she did message and 'tried' to call us, we never received any phone calls just like the 'message' she apparently sent earlier. She told us she, as a manager could not override the system as it had already recorded 2 people having paid for breakfast (please bare in mind, they only have a manual paper copy in the mornings, therefore we're interested to see where they actually record how many people have atteneded). We're so jetlagged, and slept through our alarm by mistake which we acknowledged to them straight away so that we could rectify it asap but they straight up weren't interested and just kept repeating thats their policy, they clearly don't deal with traveller's as your policy in that case would always allow a little wriggle room. We understand policies and coming from hotel backgrounds ourselves, know exactly how it works, and that frankly, it wasn't they couldn't help, they didn't want to. After waiting finally speaking with the manager face to face after 5.5 hours, we're left disappointed and utterly gobsmacked at the non existent service provided by this 'restaurant'. We were not asking for a freebie or for any discount, just to have our breakfast that we had paid for on the next day. As we're staying at the hotel for another 3 mornings (we're staying 6 days in total), they've absolutely lost out on another 6 breakfasts that we'd planned to have. The staff need more training on customer service so as to not lose business and revenue going forwards as there's zero regard for any kind of satisfaction. We'd also suggest that the hotel are advising customers that the restaurant are seperare as honestly, nobody knew anything and kept going backwards and forwards. We'd avoid it with...

21 Jun 2025, Saturday, 8.40am Buffet breakfast reservation 1 day in advance before 11pm is 50% off. I paid RM19.45, which is relatively cheap compared to other food and drinks in KL restaurant. The place is gorgeous like the photos, music available only in the outer dining area. Inner dining area where the local food was placed has no music.

Food selection is limited. Malay rice cake (like the ones we eat with satay) is extremely cold, like taken out from the refrigerator. Nasi Lemak is cold too. Only soup for noodles, an orange looking soup and a dessert are kept in hot boilers. All food dishes have no label, so I have to guess what they are by looking at them. Cakes and dessert do not taste good, the cakes are hard, dry and sweet. Black coffee prepared in dispenser has pre-added sugar and only served in the local dishes inner dining area. I had to go out to find milk to add to my coffee as there were only creamer powder and sugar beside coffee dispenser. Only 1 juice looking liquid is available. I took a sip and left the syrup water untouched. No label, can't tell what is the yellow liquid, just tasted like artificial sweetener drink.

Overall, the meal gets 2 stars because it is value for money if you pre-booked and pay half the price. It is definitely not worth the full price. Food quality is poor, I will not recommend. I had to spend RM9 to get a Grab from my hotel, Robertson beside GMBB, as this location is 200m behind my hotel but not accessible by walking. The drive is about 1.2km. Hence, my breakfast is RM29 if I include my Grab fare getting there. Nothing around here except for a mrt station. So unless you travel on a budget with your family and young kids, it's not worth a trip here. I am disappointed by the overly hyped reviews left by others. I will not come back here again for the less than appealing food. If not for 50% off for 1 day advanced booking, I will only...

It was a letdown to have come for the candlelight dinner with my partner.

First and foremost, the ambiance was not shown the same as the one I saw in the cover photo. It was a gimmick and I felt for it. It almost felt like an exam hall with all the tables being lined up straight and square, except that it was dim and dark.

Second, the food was okay, probably a solid 7/10. But I must point out that the salmon was served cold. It could've been at least warm but it was rather cold. Also, the serving between courses took very long. We had a 4-course meal and it was somewhat disappointing to say that the dessert actually did better than the main course.

Third, the waiters were just, waiters? Like, do they not communicate with their guests? When food was being served, they would just bring the food to your table and leave. It was a candlelight dinner and probably it was safe to say that it was typically fine dine? At least have a little effort to tell guests like, "Hi, here's the main course. Please enjoy!". Rather, the waiters that served us had that ignorant look.

Also, we finished the appetizers & the soup and placed them on the edge of the table but not a single waiter that kept passing by the table to serve others bother to clean them up. We purposely did not get their attention to do so, just to see how efficient they were. Probably 10 minutes later only then a waiter came and took them.

There is definitely room for improvement. Please review and improve your overall service. I can't get past the point where they have the audacity to organize any functions or occasions when the service was this terrible. I'm sorry to say, but unless the service improves, I don't think I will...

I ordered the salted egg series shrimps with rice and bulls eye egg set which included a soft drink in a useful takeaway souvenir tumbler. The portion was big and so made a filling one dish meal. The shrimps were coated with a generous layer of salted egg batter. However, the shrimps were succulent enough to hold their own within this crispy batter. The sauce seemed to be from a thousand island dressing base (I am guessing) which had been elevated with a good scattering of chillie padi and curry leaves. This made for a nice infusion of flavour, albeit a little too spicy for me. Took care of it by scrapping aside the chillie bits 😀. The menu covers a good balance of local and western offerings. If my shrimps and rice dinner is an indication of the benchmark then I can say you can be confident of a good meal. The restaurant had a cosy ambience in a simple layout. Importantly, it did not have any music in the background and so one could dine in peace or enjoy a conversation without having to fight against unnecessary noise. Given that the restaurant is on one side of the lobby of a small hotel, the atmosphere achieved was commendable. Staff were helpful, but not obtrusive. It is very easily accessible by public transport due to the location of the property being literally next to Merdeka MRT station. Parking is probably easy during the day (payment required) if there are no events at the hotel or if all the live-in guests with cars have gone out. My suggestion is to go there by MRT if you have access to this.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bluebird Café, Bistro & Restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and stylish, making it a wonderful place for any occasion, whether a casual coffee break or a celebratory dinner. The menu offers a great variety of options, and every dish I tried was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The wild mushroom risotto was creamy and rich, and the grilled salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Their desserts are a must-try—I absolutely loved the chocolate fondant, which was decadent and indulgent. The service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, ensuring that we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. What truly sets Bluebird apart is its attention to detail, from the artistic presentation of the food to the warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s clear that the team puts a lot of care into creating an exceptional dining experience. I highly recommend Bluebird Café, Bistro & Restaurant and look forward to returning soon to try more of their delicious offerings.
