Chili’s used to have a touch of class. Today’s visit threw that out the window.

Numerous missed orders - when we followed up, nobody seemed to know what they were doing. Kept going back to check whatever it is on the screen, but the food we ordered didn’t come. Then came to ask us what we ordered again. This happened multiple times. So, everyone had already eaten but a couple of us didn’t get our food until everyone else had already finished theirs.

Sent us the wrong food items three times, probably ordered by other people.

Most of the staff did not know what they were doing. Sent us the food and when we asked what it was, she couldn’t answer at all. She literally said “don’t know” when we asked what she was serving us. When asked further, she just mumbled “chicken”. But what chicken? Monterey chicken? She didn’t know. Neither did another person who sent another dish to us. We also ordered a salad with a side of balsamic vinegar but thousand island sauce came instead. Asked for balsamic vinegar and the staff didn’t know what it was. We had to repeat it 3-4 times, and with different staff. It eventually came after about 15 mins.

Didn’t give us enough cutlery. When asked, suddenly they arrived with empty plates instead of cutlery. Worst of all, the plates given were all wet.

All of these happened on a Thursday night. Not sure how they even cope on weekends.

Most atrocious service I have ever experienced in ANY establishment, not just in Chili’s. It used to be somewhere I could rely on for consistent food quality and service. Now it’s just a sorry excuse for a restaurant. It completely ruined our family’s dining experience and we’ll probably never set foot in there again. This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I would give -5 stars if I could but maybe one day when Google has a feature that supports negative...

Service 5/5 stars, FOH and servers were very attentive and polite. Thank you!

Ambiance 4.5/5. We sat at the outdoor seating which was not as noisy and stuffy as the indoor seating.

Note: It was full house on a Wed night (surprisingly) and we waited about 30 mins for a table of 8pax. Bookings are not allowed as it is first-come-first-serve.

Food 1/5 stars, which is why the overall rating is so low. I'm livid and I can't believe I paid RM30ish bucks for a plate of overcooked, undersalted Barilla penne pasta (it states very clearly on the menu that they use Barilla pasta so it's not speculation). The Cajun Pasta (prawn) sauce itself wasn't seasoned properly either. I was very close to asking the server for table salt, which in hindsight I should have done, but it can't help save the overcooked pasta. Did I mention the pasta was overcooked? Yes, I'm still really upset about that, and I paid RM30 of my hard earned money on it. The only saving grace was the prawns which were somehow beautifully seasoned, plentiful and a reasonably good size.

One can argue "you don't go to Chili's for pasta", but then why have it on the menu at all? Either improve on your pasta dishes, or remove it entirely. I would never in my life put up a menu item which I know does not pass the bar of food quality.

For that reason I wouldn't ever come back again on my own. Now I remembered why I haven't been back to any Chili's establishment in 15 years. For RM30 I can have a very nice pasta meal (that is cooked right)...

TLDR - The place is dirty save you money go somewhere else.

You don't have to be a Genius to see that this place is aged, stuck in 2010. The tables are sticky, the floors greasy, the windows hazy with dust and oil. The tables even has crud between the tiles. Dont even look under the table, they don't even sweep any fallen food. We keep going there as it's the closest Chili's in the area. But perhaps it's more worth while to drive to KLCC.

This place is a disappointment of what Chili's is supposed to be.. well what Chilis WAS. Most Mamaks in the Klang valley are cleaner than this place. It's a huge shame - whoever the owners of this outlet is- doesn't put funds to clean it up, maintain it and refurbish the whole aging restaurant. Mid valley mall management should really do something about this place. As previous reviews shows it, there's even cockroaches.

Food quality is sub par. Save your money. The staff are good at orders and ordering , paying service is okay. But with hygiene idk. The tables I sit down at always need a wipe down before I start my order. I don't smell any cleaning agent on the cloths they use and when they clean they never throughly wipe it down. . I don't feel things are sanitary and I don't have an enjoyable time eating here because of the cleanliness and hygiene.

If chili's wanna contact me regarding this outlet, you really don't have to: go there and see...

Worst American diner food taste ever in KL. I don’t even know if this place is worth a star to review. Most of their burgers came out cold and patties were dry like the sahara dessert in the night. The buns were toasted without any effort and it shows the lack of quality control in these small details (picture attached). Just plain laziness in getting it up to standard. Chicken chipotle was cold in the centre as well (prolly colder than the planet Pluto) and clearly it was cooked and prep and stored in a fridge before order is placed. It’s rude and offensive enough that they served cold food but the flavor combination of their lemon sauce pasta was just horrendous, leaving a sour taste like arguments with my exes. Cheetos + lemon just don’t go together. They just recreated my ex. I don’t get why everyone still goes to this establishment. What’s so American about this? The fries? Fries are decent tho. PS: don’t come here maybe can tapao fries.

TLDR; worst dining experience in KL. It was never like this in here. I used to love Chilis, but my recent visit was an absolute disaster. Three years ago, it was one of the best in Kuala Lumpur, but now it's probably the worst. My friends and I ordered the Texas trios and it was dreadful. Not only was it cold, but my friend actually felt sick after eating the meat. My southern burger was in an even worse state. To make matters worse, the restaurant itself was a mess and the bathroom are disgustingly dirty. I wish the waiter told us they were closing soon so we could find another place, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I'm extremely disappointed and I will never be returning to Chilis again. I hate to write this review, but I feel like it's important for others to know about my terrible experience. Avoid this restaurant at all costs.
