š„ CRAF ROASTER BBQ ā A SMOKED MEAT PARADISE! š„
WOOOOWWWW! This place is LEGENDARY!
Iāve been craving Craf Roaster BBQ for almost a YEAR since I first saw their drool-worthy IG posts from Penang.
Alhamdulillah, today was finally the dayāand HOLY SMOKES, it did NOT disappoint!
WHAT WE ORDERED (for 2 adults + 4 kids): ā Texas Platter (a MEAT FEAST!) ā +2 Beef Brisket (because why not?!) ā +2 Smoked Half Chicken (juicy perfection)
THE VERDICT? ABSOLUTELY MINDBLOWING!š
Every. Single. Meat. Was JUICY. No dry, sad BBQ hereājust tender, smoky, flavor-packed goodness. MEATLOAF? Enaaakkkk!!! Soft, savory, and melt-in-your-mouth. SAUSAGE? EXPLODING with juices on the first bite. Next-level stuff. SMOKED PULLED LAMB? Zero gaminessājust rich, smoky, and unbelievably delicious. If you hate lamb, this will change your mind.
SIDES? Baked Beans: Sweet, smoky, heavenly. Coleslaw: Fresh, crisp, perfect palate cleanser. Roasted Potatoes: Herbed (thyme, maybe?) and irresistibly crispy.
SAUCES? MANTAAAAPPP!!! They even give you TWO BOTTLESāclassic BBQ and a creamy Kewpie-like one. GENIUS.
SHOUTOUT TO ENCIK RAYMOND! š
This smoke master knows his craft, hence the name. Respect!
DRINKS? ALSO A WIN! The Shazz (Latte + Vanilla Ice Cream + Caramel syrup??): DESSERT IN A GLASS. Honey Lime Ice: Refreshing with the perfect sweet-tangy balance. Kidsā Picks (Lemon Tea, Choc/Strawberry Milkshake): Approved by the tiny critics!
BONUS POINTS: ā 100% Muslim-Owned ā Halal Ingredients (No Alcohol!) ā Family-Friendly Vibe
FINAL THOUGHTS? "THIS PLACE DESERVES A STANDING OVATION." š
Already planning my next visitābecause this? This is BBQ WORSHIP.
CRAF ROASTER BBQ, YOUāVE STOLEN MY HEART (AND STOMACH). ā¤ļøš„
š¬ Will I be back? ABSOLUTELY, InsyaaAllah.
Ps: We visited outside peak dinner hours (before 6pm), so the place wasnāt too crowded. However, to secure our spot, we made a reservation in advanceābetter safe than sorry!
The restaurant offers a great variety of seating options, from cozy tables for two to larger setups for up to eight people (or even more if combined).
Apologies for the lack of food photosāit was our first time at Sentul Park, and we got completely sidetracked! The architecture instantly transported us back to our days living in Melbourne, so we ended up spending most of our time snapping photos outside instead....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDuring this awful pandemic, ordering food at home, especially on Valentine's Day, comes with its own quirks. Thus, trying out CRAF came to my mind, well actually my wife's mind!š I started out over a good natured banter via WA text reservation prior to the day with Ms.April who was charming enough to play along the hilarious exchange since I was advised to bring my own wine and wine glasses. Valentine's Day, was just another dine-out day for my wife and myself; however, I was petrified only to take my wife to a least crowded spot in KL in this middle of COVID pandemic and its MCO. Being a Damansarian, we wanted to avoid the usual hotspots that Greater KL offers. CRAF was a perfect hidden gem nestled in the middle of a mini green lung surrounded by man-made lake in the city. Upon arriving, we were pleasantly greeted by Ms.April and her team. The wholesome pre-ordered early dinner was excellent without the usual fake pleasantries by most established restaurants. I can rave about endlessly on the quality of food, amount of serving and its splendid taste with reasonable pricing but it's an experience one needs to have on his own! For me, bringing my own bottle of wine facilitated by their food, indoor ambience and outdoor surrounding gave us a touch of a picnic-feel-and-joy but under the comfort of a roof(in case it rains). If any regret, I was not able to taste CRAF famous brewed coffee since ate like a horse and missed the chance to tip for the decent experience - - thank you CRAF; the amount of time and energyĀ youĀ put into theĀ meal preparation plus the lovely evening setting was much appreciated, we loved the chocolates for dessert and the sincere thought put behind it. Hence will surely return some day soon once the COVID numbers are showing real recovery. Thank youĀ forĀ the Valentine's dinner experience, the dinner was...
Ā Ā Ā Read more(updated) A huge group of us actors were having lunch there and we had a child in our midst. Her mom had brought her a Happy Meal from McD. (Our 2 other friends also brought in their subway sandwich.) Once the staff noticed that, he walked all the way over from the cashier with an absolutely nasty demeanor to come and shout at us "RESPECT THE PLACE!" while pointing at the "no outside food sign on the wall". We do understand that you have every right to enforce this policy, but it was the way it was enforced which was absolutely rude, unempathetic and has no regards for customer experience at all. Definitely we won't be back. To be honest, the aglio olio pasta with chicken was actually not bad. But it really got overshadowed by the rude staff.
(The only part I had added compared to the original review was the part in the bracket, as to be fair, I do acknowledge that 2 of our friends did bring food in from Subway. I myself did not, I ate food and drinks from Craf itself only. But it does not change the fact that the staff was rude to us as a whole group when enforcing the rule. The 2 friends and the little girl ended up eating at the Resource Centre instead. One 1-star review will not kill a restaurant, it really depends on how the restaurant treats...
