As someone who works in the F&B industry, I know how crucial it is to maintain high standards of service and quality, but this restaurant completely missed the mark. From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating. Many items on the menu were unavailable or sold out, which is a clear sign of poor planning and management.
The service was equally disappointing. Staff kept coming over to clear our plates while we were still eating, which made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. I understand that the restaurant was preparing to close, but that’s no excuse to rush paying customers. To make matters worse, they pressured us to pay the bill while we were still finishing our meal. This behavior shows a complete lack of respect for guests who want to enjoy their dining experience.
What really shocked me was seeing staff sitting at customers' tables while the restaurant was still in operation. I’ve never seen such unprofessional behavior in a restaurant before. This gave the impression that they had completely checked out for the evening and didn’t care about maintaining any level of service.
To top it all off, the food was a letdown. The fruit cake tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for days, dry, stale, and completely unappetizing. I expected so much more, especially at this price point.
Having worked in this industry, I know how important it is to deliver both great food and service, and this place failed on both fronts. Meriah by Serai Group offers a much better experience in terms of service, food quality, and overall professionalism.
This restaurant has set its standards shockingly low, and I won’t be returning. If you’re looking for a decent meal with respectful service, I highly recommend...
Read moreI recently dined at G'rai in The Exchange TRX and was impressed by their delicious menu. I ordered the Nasi Goreng Chicken Chop and the Char Kuey Teow, both of which were outstanding.
The Nasi Goreng Chicken Chop was a delightful fusion of flavors, with the fried rice perfectly seasoned and the chicken chop cooked to crispy perfection. The dish was both hearty and satisfying, offering a comforting blend of spices and textures that truly captured the essence of traditional Malay cuisine.
The Char Kuey Teow was another highlight, featuring perfectly cooked flat noodles stir-fried with a generous mix of seafood, vegetables, and savory sauce. The dish had a smoky, rich flavor that is characteristic of this classic Malaysian street food.
Overall, the menu at G'rai showcases the best of Malay culinary traditions, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to experience authentic and delicious Malaysian food.

Read moreI had ordered the British Chicken Chop, Luo Han Guo and Pot Pie Creamy Chicken.
First off, the pot pie creamy chicken has a price point of RM9.90. The pastry was disappointing and was not worth the price. As seen in the picture, it was smaller than the palm of my hand. The puff pastry itself had an overwhelming amount of rosemary, which unfortunately made it taste bitter when I ate it. The rosemary really made it feel like they were trying to get it worth the price, which failed. There was a small amount of filling, and it was salty as well. Honestly, you're better off going to Lavender and buying two of their chicken pot pies for what I've paid for here.
For the British Chicken Chop, I was looking forward to it as I had seen a video review on Instagram (@bestfoodmalaysia). It's my fault for trusting food review accounts. For RM31.90, I must say, the only thing that was nice about the dish was the chicken batter, and it was a huge piece of chicken. It had a lemongrass taste to it, which was nice. But the gravy given was also salty. They had put too much Worcestershire sauce in it that gave out too much acidity too. I had asked for a change in the sauce for it to be less salty and was given so. Maybe their other local dishes might be good? But what's for sure is that you'd want to go someplace else with a better chicken chop for the price that you're paying.
Luo Han Guo was nice. Basic, nice, with a lot of barang inside. That's about it la.
Service was okay. Atmosphere also nice. But food wise for what I've experienced, it's not worth the price point. Just go...
