Went there last Saturday, right after iftar break. Around 7:45pm. Impressed with very sharp and neat interior. Modern looks cafe. Excited to try those matcha drinks and dessert.
We’ve been greeted by one of the crew. Asked us for order. Not so friendly treatment. Seems like she’s having problem with previous customer and like in a rush even no one Q after us. We placed our order and the same crew calling out our number. She called 2 times since we didn’t notice.
We went there thought that our food and drinks ready, but nope, our drink still in progress. She made those drinks not with love and joy.
We order goguma matcha latte and super matcha latte. Both not meet our expectations. Too sweet. Goguma one we received taste like talam keladi or tepung pelita. Not taste the matcha bitterness. Only taro and sweet taste. Same as super matcha latte. Too sweet. Strong stevia taste.
We try 3 desserts. The matcha burnt cheesecake is superb. Not sweet and have strong matcha taste. We love it.
Matcha cake roll normal taste. Cream slightly taste the matcha powder. Not so sweet.
Matcha berries taste good. Balanced taste between matcha chocolate shell and the fillings strawberry and matcha cream. Though the strawberry jem a bit sweet but still balanced with the matcha cream and shell.
Overall okay just the drinks not as we expected. We don’t even finished those drinks since the taste not worth the pay. Don’t know is it really taste like that or supposedly not.
Hopefully the staff can be more friendly, patient and enjoy working there. Not being grumpy...
Read moreHad a terrible experience overall. From ordering to picking up my order, organisation could’ve been much better. Staff at the cashier could not explain what some of the menu items were. I ordered the Super Matcha Latte which comes with soft serve and watched as the drink overflowed while the staff prepped the order and they merely cleaned the rim of the cup and set it on the counter, without properly informing that my order was ready. The soft serve was already melting and it came without any sort of lid, hence when I picked it up it spilled on me and my friend. No pictures of this as we were busy cleaning up the mess the drink created as the black soft serve stained everything it touched.
Flavour-wise, the matcha taste was not prominent and way too sweet. Was told that all matcha served is from a sweetened powder. If you do not enjoy the aftertaste that comes with artificial sweeteners, would not recommended this. The soft serve itself was also not enjoyable as the texture was oddly grainy.
Pictured is the rest of the drink that I could not finish as it was way too sweet. Got a lid from the pick up counter after having to eat most of the soft serve to fit the lid on. You can also see the cup was not properly cleaned up by the staff, leaving grey/black stain marks...

So we queue to place our order. When it’s our turn, there’s a lady that suddenly cut the line and approached the staff if she could change her order to which was accommodated.
It took them more than 10 minutes since the staff had to do payment reversal and charge the customer again. The staff had to call someone since it looks like she’s not familiar how to do it.
We just watched them do it while some other customers started queueing as well.
When it’s our turn, instead of the staff acknowledging that we waited quite long already by saying “Thank you for waiting” or “Sorry for waiting”, the first thing she said with her un-pleasantry “Is it okay for you to wait 15 to 20 minutes since the queue is long already?”
Like before allowing someone to simply cut the line and change her order, you should have asked us so we won’t be waiting watching them struggle to do the refund process.
You seriously need to do training to your staff.
