2nd visit Came here again with colleagues since our first visit was great. This time, we came in a group of 4 and managed to order more food to share. Well, actually it was my colleagues who shared the food and I had a main myself.. heh.

  1. Chicken Char siew rice bowl
  2. Big breakfast
  3. Classic Ramen
  4. Roasted chicken leg
  5. Two cakes to share - forgot their names but the matcha one is their Christmas special and the other was a strawberry cream sponge cake

I only had the rice bowl which tasted good and wholesome. The rice bowl came soaked in broth and was flavourful, although I felt it was a tad too salty. The chicken char siew was just chicken thigh cut into pieces and the ones egg is just onsen egg. Overall, it was satisfying for me but I still preferred the halibut nasi Kerabu.

Colleagues shared the others and they had no complaints. The chicken leg was well seasoned and tasted good.

Of course, their cakes didn't disappoint. The matcha cake was slightly on the sweeter side but the strawberry sponge cake was just right - fluffy with soft whipped cream and fresh strawberries

1st visit: Dropped by for lunch and seeing this rather small establishment being packed, we reckoned that the food might be good. Well we weren't disappointed and tbh this was better than the previous cafe I reviewed here.

Both my colleague and I ordered Nasi Kerabu - I had their fish while colleague had the ayam percik. Fish was halibut and the portion was great. It was also cooked rather well - not overcooked and dry. Their sambal was fantastic too.. very spicy.

Of course with their selection of cakes, we ordered one to share - Tau Fu Fah cheesecake (aka tofu cheesecake). Both of us liked it as it was not sweet or cloying at all. Perhaps it was that way cos we shared that huge piece.

Overall, I would come back and the food quality and portion is worth the...

First time coming here at evening time (around 5/6 pm) that I was believe it is almost dinner, I came here at Saturday and surprisingly no queue for seating placement. I got a spot to seat outside and that's a pretty chill and catchy spot.

The food was great. The price it's kind of bit expensive but understandable because it is located at the popular place. I really LOVE the dessert, I ordered strawberry cheese cake something that I didn't remember the name.

The service kind of mmm how to say, I just didn't like the way the staff it's kind of lack of awareness. As far as I work in hospitality, if we didn't speak the language I think you can give a heads up to them. I've talked with a person that I believe he's Malaysian, and I speak in Bahasa (Malay and Indonesian) he understood but he didn't answer with Bahasa, he answer in English. Then I slipped some answer in Bahasa, and he still answer in English, I didn't know if this place it is only speaking English🤷🏻‍♀️. Later on, when I would like to order, I already raise my hand (because the staff said that they will serve us at the table no need to order inside) but no one coming out until the third time I raised hand. One of the guy (the other staff) just look at me and make a sign "What" with his head and eyebrow, wow that was rude.

However, I believe this place could be better. Please kindly treat your customer with respect, no need for like a top notch service but small things sometimes matters. If you are busy enough to take an order from the customer (if they seat outside), you may inform the customer to order inside or at least give a...

short review: tiktok brought me here. would revisit again

detailed review: classic ramen portion on the smaller side, and this is coming from someone with a small appetite. plentiful black fungus to the point that you'll get muak. unless you're vegetarian/vegan, get the meat options bc i def regretted since its only 3-6rm difference and im sure the added protein would be more filling

white coffee cold brew for someone that doesn't like strong coffee this is so good 😭😭 the creaminess of the milk blends with the coffee so well. but if you like stronger coffee this may not be your liking.

service food came in quick (10 mins) as its a weekend during non peak hours, plentiful staff ard 5. but no one realised i walked in as theres another customer in front of me. so i asked the cashier is it order at counter or at table, but instead of giving me a direct answer he asked where's my table. when i told him i just walked in so i dont have one, he just pointed in a vague direction. while this isnt necessarily rude, it wasnt pleasantly welcoming either bc he had a rbf 😭 but ill chalk it up to him having a bad day or thats just his default way of talking. the other staffs that served me after (giving out menu, sending my orders etc) gave good service.

parking dont even think abt it. just come by lrt. or can park at the mall across (cheap, rm3 only) and walk (around 10mins, doable only if the weather is on your side)

all in all, i'd definitely love to revisit and try other menus esp the...

Great service, nourishing meal, and a sweet tooth delight. I was lucky I got here before 12PM on a weekday. Otherwise, I would've missed a lovely experience given how busy it gets during lunch hour. I like how welcoming the server was when I first arrived and how attentive they were to get my order. I also appreciate that they immediately served me water without having to ask them to. The restaurant, including the toilet, was very clean. I really enjoyed how relaxed I felt despite how busy it got at some point when more people came in to eat. I feel like the choice of interior colours and furnishings contributes to that comfy feeling. I love how smooth and creamy the Oatside Brew Fizz is. And the Chicken "Char Siew" Rice Bowl was the perfect meal for me after working out in the morning. For dessert, I got the Sea Salt Brownie. I love how solid yet crumbly the crust is, with the dense and gooey chocolatey center, and the subtle saltiness to balance the sweetness. I wish I had more "space" to try their other cakes. Maybe next time... I'm interested in trying their other crafted drinks, too.
