I visited on last Friday (17 Jan 2024) The food is really good. But the staff service is really bad. First, they are not alert on customer needs. The music is loud and I raise my hand in quite long time, no one come and the staff was just standing. I need shout quite loud to reach them.

Secondly, they were chasing us for their table turn over and it's not in manner. I fully understand that they told me the dining time is only until 8pm and I told them please alert us when the time approached. They didn't alert us when the time approached, they just brought the birthday surprise ice cream to our table and we were shocked and did not prepare for it. They just sing the birthday song, then put the ice cream and told us. You need to leave the table, our guest had arrived. Hello, my friend not even blow the candles and take photos, they already start cleaning my table. Yet, we haven't finished our foods. They told us , we can proceed eating in the VIP table, but the VIP table was just a waiting area. They will bring our unfinished food to us. But they didn't bring our unfinished food to us as I saw they already sweep the waste into our foods. We only have the food (ice cream) and drinks that we carry along. It's so awkward while everyone were looking at you.

It's so not professional and spoilt my bestie birthday. It's my friend's birthday. This is my first time visit but also the last time. I paid so high service charge but yet you're giving such bad service. Really...

I celebrated my birthday here and it was such an amazing experience.

Firstly, the food is amazing ! We had the Crab Cheong Fun which was my favourite. We also had the Salmon and Sons, Chicken Wing, Chicken Thigh, and Tiger Prawn from the yaki bar. Let me tell you all of them were spot on ! Every dish was very flavourful especially the yakitori which was our favourite out of the many yakitori places we have tried. We also had their special “Weird Noodle” which wasnt weird at all. It was noodles with century eggs, which was unique.

Secondly, the staff is so nice and kind, my friend said they were so welcoming and helpful when she went in first to hide my cake. We were attended to by Jeff the whole night and he was so attentive to our needs. He recommended some dishes to us, and gave us complimentary Gula Melaka Coconut Ice cream when he found out it was my birthday. He was so welcoming and made our night. The ice cream was also amazing ! 10/10. If you ever come here, make sure to ask for Jeff !

Lastly, the restaurant ambiance was amazing and well curated, down to the music they had playing. They have an open kitchen where you can see your food being prepared. Its a small and intimate space so make sure to book a reservation if your pax is bigger. We had the seats beside the kitchen which was fun as we could see the chefs showing their cooking skills.

Will definitely be...

Atmosphere: Ambience was rly good. It was small, but cosy. Parking wasn’t great though. But i went around 8pm and could find parking in the row itself.

Food: Portions are small. Favourite of the night was the special tsukene, salmon maki & cold noodles! I think the weird noodles are overated, not sure why everyone mentions it. Honestly tasted like wanton mee! The texture of the noodles was good though, chewy and bouncy, cooked well! The cold noodles was GREAT! Had a scent of truffle, and meshed well with everything! The sweet corn was also really good, charred well, crunchy and sweet! LP bday ice cream was also rly good, coconuty, not too sweet and meshed rly well w each other.

Service: Service was good! Despite being full house, staff was responsive. Was also helpful in taking photos. Also, to our surprise, the manager gave us sweet corn on the house! Were tempted to order it but was alr too full but was pleased to receive it. Appreciate the kind gesture!

Price: Food is defo on the pricey side despite the portions not being v big. There’s 4 of us and we had to order quite a few items to be full. Total ended up being RM261 altho we didn’t order any drinks.

Overall: Would defo drop by for snacks / drinks but maybe not for...

Raved with good reviews, this yakitori bar is hidden away in the alleys of Lorong Kurau, located upstairs of the single shoplot and often fully booked. The food however, is a hit or miss. We ordered quite an extensive variety off the menu from handrolls, to skewers, and also noodles and rice. The handroll flavor was overpowered by each ingredient but at least it was fresh. The mentai rice is good, noodle is normal. The yakitori somehow lacks char flavor, and was mediocrely done in my opinion. Tsukene is supposed to be their signature, while it is good, I actually expect better. The spider crab chee cheong fun looks good but overall is passable. The prawn and octopus are very very mediocre. Overall, I expected more, for the hype, location and price point. While the presentation is on point, the lack of execution didn't make up for it. The food overall is still considered good but could've been better. The service however is top notch. This place is good if you want the vibe more than the food, some good friends or couple, over the bar, having some sake and handroll is definitely a good meal to have.
