Dear Han Loong,

Kindly clarify which party should filter their comment - we were merely offering a suggestion, punctuated with anecdotal evidence based on our experience at your so-called establishment. Didn’t see the need to comment on anyone’s intelligence, but here we are - a new low in standards for customer service.

Given that the staff in particular was unable to answer our question at the premises, could you please explain why 3 pax from the same household are not permitted to combine chairs/tables? Whilst other standalone tables had 4-5 patrons seated with zero social distancing?

FYI there is the option to delete a review if one is so concerned about negative ratings and/or allergic to constructive criticism. No need to frantically compensate with a 5-star post and a poorly-written, insult-filled reply :)

TLDR for other users; Horrible service (notably similar sentiment in reviews apart from mine) Limited menu Illogical SOP enforcement

Plenty of other cafes in KL more worthy of your patronage with top-notch...

Went there with my fiancÃĐ on a Sunday morning and after several minutes of waiting at the counter - which had 3 people behind it and not one even acknowledging us - we ordered and paid for 2 polo buns and 1 latte. We sat at the other end of the cafe since that was the only space available.

Despite them having about 5 staff at the counter, the latte took 20 minutes to arrive. Halfway through drinking the coffee, a family of four came and sat at the table next to us. Within 10 minutes they were served their coffee and toast while we were STILL WAITING for our polo bun. We were about to get up and leave when just one bun arrivedâ€Ķafter another 20 minutes (at this point there were still about 5 staff behind the counter) we asked after the other bun. No apology was given from the staff, just a curt “it’s on the way”. We walked out without getting our bun that we paid for 5 mins later.

For a place that only seats about 30 pax and has a ratio of 1 staff to 5-6 people, their “timeliness” made no sense. Never...

As guest of Tian Jing Hotel, I get to try their drinks (was happy to pay and try as I thought the complimentary drink was just for first day). I must say the menu selection is very generous!

Drinks were really good quality for a cafe! I personally liked Hojicha and Matcha Lattes but their coffee was equally good and smells nice. I really really loved the Coffee Rum Cheesecake where the coffee jelly inside is like taking a sip of of Rum itself. When I was there they have 4 different alcoholic cheesecakes and I so regret not trying them earlier! Price wise it is at Cafe standard. But hey, at least the quality is truly worth the money and tummy space!

Nice ambience away from the heat of street. Nostalgic feel and they have big and small tables around. I sat there one afternoon and I observe that they cleared the tables soon after people leave. They also sprayed and wiped it clean so the tables are always ready to seat next group of customer. Prompt, nice and helpful...

Had been visiting this cafe on and off whenever I go to petaling street and wanted to find a place to sit down, have some drinks, and chill with friends. There were always seats whenever I go (usually at off peak hours I guess). Had their coffees before, drinks are ok. But the atmosphere and service makes up everything. Good place to hang out with friends, have some drinks and probably some snacks. The cafe is currently moved to upstairs due to renovation. Hopefully the newly renovated space will have more space, and maintain the simple, a little atmospheric, a little “nostalgic” kinda feeling decor. Actually the original design and ambience is excellent , everything is “not too much” and “not too over”, which I personally love it. Service is good. They recommended us new drinks and ask for opinion after we were almost done. Hopefully they keep up the service (also not too much , not too over, but makes me feel comfortable) and the new space is better.

Saw this cafe popping up on my Instagram with its rattan chairs and artistic interior. Worried about how fancy cafe interiors may not result in good food, I took a gamble by ordering their meals. The first thing that strikes you when you see their menu is their absolute lack of things to eat. Its almost all roti bakar and half boiled eggs, and cakes. But, as someone once told me, you don't need to be a jack of all trades to be successful. The fusion Onde-Onde Cake at RM14 was quite good. All the flavours and almost all the textures you'd expect from an Onde-Onde were present in the cake. Pair it with a really good latte (RM9) and it is an unforgettable experience. Could be that the cafe owners want to bank in on their expertise on fusion cakes and good coffee making skills, and I am not complaining. My only complaint is the expensive roti kawin which at RM4 is a tad overrated. Otherwise everything else about this cafe is PERFECT.
