What a lovely find in the middle of KL. Celebrated my aunt’s birthday. Ordered the dim sum and main meals. As you can see from the video licin habis! The owner and I think his daughter (or family) greeted us like we’re frequent customers. So friendly and jovial.
Plenty to choose from the menu. We ordered the usual din sum favourites - siu mai, barbecue chicken buns, lo mai gai (fragrant glutinous rice with chicken). Main meals include fried keow teow, fried rice, nasi lemak, mee curry dan macam2x lagi.
The golden question will I return? For the ambience and ethnic nyonya house YES! However, service can be further improved. Granted we came on the last Saturday of 2024 on Dec 28. Packed with people, majority locals.
Maybe try come on an off day the crowd and service will be better? Main convenience is its own parking space. Since the restaurant is located next to China Town the iconic Petaling Street, parking can be painful and challenging....
Read moreI am very very disappointed with the services here. I have to wait for more than an hour to get my food after complaining for a long time. Those who came later than us had already gotten their food. My friends already had their orders and finished their food (also waited for almost an hour) but not for me. I ordered mee siam + curry chicken. When the food was served, it was at room temperature and not hot. They serve potatoes more than chicken. Then, they should not put on the menu curry chicken but curry potatoes instead. When we asked for a discount, the "boss" said "I'm very very busy here". What has giving a discount got to do with his busyness? Anyway... They are not hungry for business. I will never want to come to this cafe again. There are many more cafes with good food and good services around. Yours is not...
Read moreWe arrived at 2pm for late lunch. The moment we stepped into the restaurant, there is an unpleasant smell, not sure what smell is that.
We ordered Asam pedas Ikan tenggiri which cost us RM45, the flavour was bland, so watery. On top of that, the fish was fried separately, and they just put into the asam pedas watery soup. So the fish literally tasted stale like the fish was pre-fried and frozen/chilled. Worst still, it only contains 3 small thin slices of fish with few small cut okra, long bean, and tomato. The Chap chye lack of flavour as well. The roti bakar was very dry. Both of us managed to finish just 1 slice of the fish, a quarter of the vege and the toasts as it doesn’t taste good at all. It’s that bad. And we decided to pack and leave as we just lost our appetite. Don’t think we’ll...
