Nick's Tacos, located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur near the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, is a fantastic spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. As vegetarians, we were delighted by the variety of options available. We tried the quesadilla, tacos, and their special in-house Impossible Cake—all of which were outstanding in flavor and presentation. Highlights of Our Experience: -Delicious Vegetarian Options – The quesadilla was perfectly cheesy with a crisp tortilla, while the veg tacos were fresh and flavorful. The Impossible Cake was a unique and delightful surprise! - Authentic Mexican Taste– Many online reviews praise Nick’s Tacos for staying true to traditional Mexican flavors, and we completely agree. - Great Ambience – The restaurant has a vibrant and cozy atmosphere, making it a great place for both casual meals and small gatherings. - Prime Location – Being so close to the Twin Towers makes it a convenient dining spot for tourists and locals alike. - Friendly Service – The staff was attentive and helpful, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Based on other reviews, Nick’s Tacos is also known for its signature margaritas and generous portion sizes, which we’ll definitely try next time! Final Verdict A must-visit for Mexican food lovers in KL—great food, great vibe, and excellent service. Would highly recommend to anyone craving quality Mexican cuisine in the city!

If you’re on the hunt for a hidden gem in Kuala Lumpur, Nick’s Tacos is one place you absolutely need to check out. Tucked away near the Petronas Twin Towers, this cozy little spot took me by surprise—in the best way. As someone who appreciates thoughtful, high-quality food, I was seriously impressed. The burrito was hands down one of the best I’ve had in the city—hearty, flavorful, and made with fresh, vibrant ingredients. And the Impossible Cake? Truly a standout. I wasn’t expecting to be wowed by dessert, but this one absolutely delivered. Rich, moist, and totally unforgettable. What really elevates the experience, though, is the heart behind the food. The owner is incredibly sweet and clearly committed to maintaining high standards. They stand by their promise of delivering exceptional quality by using fresh, responsibly sourced produce—a rarity in KL, especially when it comes to vegetarian-friendly options. The vibe is warm and unpretentious, perfect for a relaxed lunch or a casual dinner with friends. You can feel that this place is built with passion, and it shows in every detail—from the food to the service. I left feeling full, happy, and already planning my next visit. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Mexican flavors, especially vegetarians who are tired of compromising on taste.

We came late evening on a Monday night. Big place, only one other table eating when we arrived. Young female taking orders, was really polite and attentive and poured a great pint of tiger!! Lots on the menu, including chicken tikka fajitas and butter chicken pasta! I ordered the Chicken Vindaloo and made sure when ordering to specify I wanted this spicy, the waitress said this was a spicy dish so all good. What I was served, though was rich with chicken, potatoes and flavours, was not a chicken vindaloo by my flavour, taste or spice and though I ate it because I was hungry, I was disappointed that this would be called a vindaloo in an Indian restaurant. Naan and rice good. No complaints here. There is nothing, unless it’s in very small print about the 10% service charge in the menu. I’d like to be able to choose if I’m going to be leaving a tip or not and how much I would like to leave, not have one already taken out of my bill. I think this is poor form and should be stated clearer. A solid enough little place, well price but if you’re an Indian purist, I think there must be better options in KL.

I have been to this restaurant several times when I have been staying at the Holiday Inn on the same property. I wish that either the wait person or the manager or the hotel had told me that there is a 10% discount for guests staying at the hotel. It would have saved me money and I probably would have eaten there more often. I believe that on my recent trip to KL, I had mentioned that. The food is very good, the owner/manager is hospital and the male wait person is really friendly. Problem.......after discovering the discount by searching for other information in the hotel booklet, I asked the female wait person on the way in if there was a discount for hotel guests. She must have been familiar with it because without hesitation she said yes. That was great. I was aware that it applies to food and not alcohol. When she presented me with the bill......there was no discount whatsoever on the food. She expected me to just pay it. Nope! I brought it to her attention and she made the change. The owner/manager was not far away. Another time which was either the next night or a couple of nights later I went back. At the next table there was a child who was being loud. I decided to change tables. The same wait person saw me change tables and was clearly angry. Her anger when I was seated at the new table was visible and I said that instead of eating, I would go elsewhere. I finished my beverage, paid the bill and left. Very, very poor on her part both times.......very poor. I would never, ever go back if...

On the ground floor of the Holiday Inn Express Kuala Lumpur City Center. Cash or credit cards accepted.

I ate here twice just to test both sides of the menu. I suggest you opt for pizza instead of Indian or Mexican food. They were out of the grilled squid but I had the chicken nachos. The salsa was more of a BBQ-based sauce and the guacamole was mealy and mostly tasteless. I know corn is a big thing here but I still don't think it belongs on nachos. Chips were thin but crunchy and the chicken was dry.

I opted for the mutton biryani and garlic naan the next time. The naan is very thin and at times crispy, almost like a matza cracker or tortilla. It was tasty but not necessarily overly garlic-y. I'm used to naan being thicker and more pliable, but this was adequate for eating with the biryani. The biryani was spicy but the rice was a bit on the dry side. The mutton was a little juicier and there was a good amount of it.

I also tried the margherita pizza. Large, somewhat thick slices of tomatoes under the melted mozzarella cheese and the crust was pleasantly crisp. The sauce was a bit on the sweet side and may have been similar to the salsa with a BBQ-y taste. It was good enough that I'd be curious to try one of their other pizza flavors.

Staff have always been friendly and the restaurant itself is a very pleasant place. It's very convenient if you're staying at the Holiday Inn Express and need an option for...
