Food review:
STIR FRIED KAM HEONG LALA PASTA ๐ฆช๐ฅ Pasta served with "Sha Bak" White Clam and their in house Kam Heong Sauce blended with dried shrimp. This pasta is really jeng ๐ Itโs a must order when you come here and itโs their best seller dish!! The kam heong sauce is spicy and packed with oomph ๐ฅ It coats each strand of pasta lusciously with a nice spicy kick to it ๐ถ๏ธ You immediately get ocean feels because of the generous serving of fresh clams ๐คค 10/10 fusion pasta dish โญ๏ธ Taiwan Sausage Ricebowl with Pork Lard ๐ท Rice bowl comes with Taiwan sausage, fragrant Japanese Calrose Rice, sunny side up, Japanese seaweed, and their signature pork lard ๐ฝ A beloved dish that embodies the essence of Taiwanese cuisine. ๐น๐ผ One of the main reasons this dish is so comforting and famous is because it is a perfect representation of Taiwanese home-style cooking. It is simple, flavorful, and hearty, providing a sense of warmth and nostalgia to those who grew up with it. โค๏ธ The addition of pork lard adds an extra layer of richness and depth to the dish, making it even more indulgent and satisfying. ๐ Lat zi gai (Spicy Chicken) Rice - Theyโre not joking when they say spicy coz it packs a punch ๐ฅต Not for the faint of heart โค๏ธ It resembles a mala chicken dish but thankfully it isnโt painfully numbing so you have a pleasant balance of spiciness from the fragrant dried chilli which is dampened by the soft Japanese rice ๐ Japanese Shrimp Katsu Cutlet Sandwich ๐ฅช - The half cut says it all ๐๐ Immaculate cross section which is such a beautiful sight โค๏ธ๐ค This is their new flavour which comprises of lightly toasted toast with Japanese Shrimp Katsu, topped with cheese slice, free range egg and assorted vegetables. Oh, and not to forget with our creamy homemade tartar sauce. ๐ Flavours blend well together and itโs a nutritious meal ๐๐ป Chocolate Burnt Cheesecake - Texture was on point ๐ฏ Creamy interior and firm exterior with a mildly sweet chocolate taste that doesnโt overpower the cheesiness in the cake! I love how two prominent flavours were able to compliment each other flawlessly without making it overwhelming ๐๐ฐ This is what a slice of happiness tastes like ๐ Drinks: Summer Shine ๐ธ & Rose Latte ๐น
Overall impression:
As you walk through the winding roads of the rural apartment area, you notice a quaint little cafe tucked away from the main street. As you step inside, you're immediately enveloped by the cozy, warm atmosphere of the cafe. The walls are painted in muted shades of beige and cement, and the furniture is a mix of vintage and modern pieces that exude a rustic charm. The dim lighting and soft music add to the ambiance, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. โ๏ธ
The cafe's charm lies in its hidden location and aesthetic decor, creating a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. ๐ The food and drinks are of the highest quality, adding to the allure of the space.๐ It's the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet meal or catch up with friends over a cup of coffee and a...
ย ย ย Read moreRead many good reviews about the food being good, cheap and big portion. Decided to come give it a try. I wanted to order the yingyang drink but they ran out of it.
Food came pretty slow and it was not hot but rather cold. The food is indeed cheap for cafe price but the portion is not really that big and taste wise nothing special. For me, i feel that the good reviews have been greatly exaggerated.
The kimchi rice was so so, pork lard noodle mom said nothing special, i ordered minced pork noodle but it came as rice. Maybe they heard me wrongly. Minced pork was served with bonito flakes, its a rather odd thing to add on and it does not go well together (taste wise).
Otak otak was unique, it is wrapped in vegetarian foochok as a skin layer. Taste is pretty okay. When we were done with our food, I wanted to order a drink, they told me that yingyang drink is available but last cup. It's strange to me because earlier they told me it's sold out but anyways who cares at least i get to try it. They even let me choose the color of the cup. They did inform me that the drink will take some time to prepare and i said okay.
We waited really long for the drink, more than 15minutes. I like the combination of red tea and espresso, its unique and does not taste weird. I would say the entire meal, this drink is the most worth it. The price for the tea is abit odd, it's RM15 (more expensive than a porklard...
