📍 Rockafellers Kitchen + Bar, Changkat Bukit Bintang
[SUNDAY ROAST EDITION 🐷⭐️]
When I thought Sunday Roast couldn’t get any better, Rockafellers proved me wrong 😱 I had the best Sunday roast in my life and it only gets better…you get to choose your own choice of roast 😍🐷 I went for the crackling roasted pork roll, stuffed with spinach & streaky bacon and it was pork-fection on a plate 🙌🏻 It also comes with a choice of soup (oxtail or mushroom soup) and dessert (mini brownie & vanilla ice cream), all at a price of RM59 only!! That’s quite a deal if you ask me 🤩 The minute my soup came, my jaw dropped at the size of it 🤯 The portion was enormous, and little did I know that the roast was even bigger 😩👌🏻 The roasted pork was served with beetroots, baby carrots, celery, roasted potatoes, roasted garlic, roasted onions, yorkshire pudding & gravy. The allure of roasted pork roll lies in its simplicity - melt in the mouth pork belly, crackling crispy golden skin and perfect meat to fats ratio. At an almost 50:50 meat to fat ratio, some may find that the fat adds much flavour to the meat, however I find the cut slightly overwhelming because of the generosity of fats. I appreciate how tender and succulent the meat was and the crackling sound of biting into the crispy skin fresh from the oven is sufficient to make me drool nonstop. 🤤 The gravy adds an element of smokiness, bringing oomph to the overall flavours.
Their menu proposes a hearty variety of British and Irish recipes in a sports bar setting which is guaranteed to fill a hungry tummy. ❤️ Do yourself a favour and head down to Rockafellers for the best Sunday Roast! You won’t be...
Read moreThe food was good or whatever but the servers treated me awfully. I showed up early ahead of a reservation my cousin had made. I told the server I had a reservation, he confidently nodded at me and I followed him in, thinking he was taking me to our spot. He proceeds to seat me in the back, out of everyone's line of sight - wasn't even a three person table. That's when the alarm bells started going off. About 15 mins later my cousins arrived and they got seated at a different table despite a) having used the same name the reservation was under, and b) booking an outside table (we were all sat inside). It took us a while to figure out that we were all already at the bar. We made our way to an empty table outside, where the ppl who sat me could clearly see that I was part of a group and not lying to get into the bar, but didnt bother to apologise or explain why they sat me where they did?? And at the end of the night they messed up our bill and we got charged twice. I understand being wary about single guys coming into these sorts of establishments but 1) I'm not a guy / don't identify as one, 2) am gay, and 3) would literally go to anywhere else as a place like this would never be my first choice for a drink 🙄. That whole experience left me and my cousins uncomfortable- bad vibes from...
Read moreWell. usually come here only with my friends reserve few tables. but tonight I decide to come alone while waiting someone because their service was okay before. After my second beers, one the staff asked me if I want to move to the bar cause he noticed that I was alone and they wanted to give the table to bigger spender. I refused politely, saying that I still waiting for my friend. But before I ordered my third beer, I went back from toilet and found out that my table already taken. At first, one of the staff told me that I did not need to worry because no one will take my table. Of course, I complained and all I got was payment machine. he said that anyone sitting on the bar have to pay straight away. Even with given situation. So I just paid cause I did not want to make a scene. FYI, I only have the table for less than 2 hours. I know I know, it all just business and because I was appear alone waiting for friend. All I am saying is if you plan to meet a friend there, you might want to consider other bar. there are bunch of bars along that Changkat road which provide...
