I went to this bar on two back-to-back nights. The first night, my friend and I were talked into trying the Chili margarita, which was served with a flaming tequila shot. The waitress told my Friend that you’re supposed to drink the shot while it’s on fire, which of course makes no sense, but she was adamant about that so my Friend tried. Lucky, he freaked out before doing so and blew it out. Immediately, he took a sip and burned his lip on the scorching hot glass. A manager came over and said, “was your shot on fire? You’re suppose to pour it into your drink.” When I explained that the waitress told him to drink the shot that was on fire, and about how he burned his lips, the manager laughed and said, “today’s her first day. I’ll tell her the correct way so it doesn’t happen again.” She then walked away laughing, while my friend’s lip was still burning. Queue to last night when I try the bar out with another few friends. The server from the night before sees me and apologizes, while laughing about the incident, so I briefly lectured her on safety and she took off. Once we order our drinks and began talking, the chair that my Friend was sitting in broke. The front two legs completely detached from the chair causing her to fall to the ground. Luckily she wasn’t hurt, but I wanted a manager to finally come and apologize. Upon the manager (different from the previous night) coming over, she blamed my Friend for breaking the chair. So instead of apologizing, they now are blaming people for things and I had had enough, so I had a few choice words with this new manager about her incompetent managerial skills, and she said that I was attacking her. This caused the general manager (the only reasonably helpful person in the entire establishment) to come over and try to resolve the situation. I explained what had happened the previous night with the shot and he informed me that he was aware of that. I then informed him on what happened with the chair and the manager blaming my Friend. All the while, the manager is now verbally attacking me while I’m talking to the GM. He asks her to leave which she refuses, and when I told her to leave as her boss had requested, she again refuses and starts getting more irritated. Eventually, she leaves and the GM blames her words on a lack on English vocabulary. The only thing I wanted was a sincere apology from someone in the first place, and the GM was the only person who sort of did that. Terrible service. 10 out of 10 would...
Read moreWe had a good time overall but our night was ruined by their service and rude staff.
Service was not great from the get-go. We had to chase the wait staff to place orders the entire night. We understood cause only 1 person was manning the orders.
When we left he ran after us with 2 drinks in his hand insisting that we ordered it. We did not. While talking to him another guy who was working downstairs asked what was going on. Instead of talking to the customer first he decided that he should ask his colleague what happened.
Bro was giving his own version of the story and leaving out so many parts. My friend explained her side which fell on deaf ears. He kept repeating his story, that kept changing. When I interrupted and said that I clearly told him we didn't want to order anymore he said "oh I didn't hear you when you said that." How convenient?
This guy from downstairs then said oh maybe it's loud upstairs so he didn't hear. To which I replied that was our point. Clearly there was a miscommunication.
After which downstairs guy used the four letter word and said I'm being rude and aggressive.
That statement and word really made me loose my cool. But my friends calmed me down and we walked out.
We do not have a problem buying 2 more drinks but there is a principle behind it and honestly no one wanted to drink anymore. You can't just expect people to pay for something they didn't order. It is unethical.
Unfortunately, I didn't get the names of the staff. Customer service is horrible. Will be a long time before I ever decide to step foot in this establishment again.
There are loads of other places to go to. You are not the only one to exist.
Hope the owners could look into this and train their...
Read moreI love the outdoor decor in Havana and we have been dancing in the upstairs couple of times before, so we decided to give it a go for dinner twice during MCO.
The first night didn't have the best start, since an asian looking lady with a shaved head was very rude at the gate. However, on next neek when we dined here again, her indian counterpart was absolutely lovely and very accommodating so the level of service seems to be an unstable experience.
Drinks were watery and because of that, too expensive. I don't mind paying even RM35-50 for a proper drink, but these certainly were not it.
I had the lamb leg which was quite bland and had not been cooked long enough since it was not coming out of the bone easily, like it should and in KL standards also almost always does - malaysians know their food. The portion looked ugly and unambitious, which would be completely ok with a pub food price tag, but again not with these prices.
Service was a bit slow too, since we had to always call someone to bring water, glass of redwine, my husband had to ask twice for his beer etc. Smoking is unfortunately allowed on the terrace.
However, the thing that really put us both off, was the large number of obvious & rouchy escorts hanging and drinking with the old men in the bar - definitely not an environment where to have your romantic...
