Self serve rice and toppings Malay food. Delicious selection of Halal toppings - chicken, lamb, fish and squid curries and fried pieces, fried eggs, salads and sambal. Well balanced, complex, well spiced dishes. Some are mild and some spicy, just ask if you can't tolerate chilli.

The environment is covered street food style, the kitchen appears clean and neat and overall good hygiene standard for street food. People may be smoking in the seating area.

You grab your own plate and dish up as much rice and different toppings as you want, and the staff will come over and count up your plate and give you a note with the price. Pay after you finish.

Beware in this style of eatery, although the rice is fairly hot, the curries and other toppings are served at room temperature. You can eat with your right hand if you like but fork and spoon are provided.

We paid 23 ringgit for 2 big plates and two drinks.

This is just outside the Jalan Alor food street and a more authentic local style eatery. Open earlier too, we had a brunch at 11 am when all the JA shops...

Honestly, choosing to eat at Roy Bonzer Corner was probably the dumbest decision I almost made that day ( 06/07/2025 ). The staff were extremely unfriendly, rude, and couldn’t even spare a smile , as if customers were there begging for free food. I waited for almost 20 minutes, yet nothing came out, not even a drink, while other guests who had just arrived got all their orders within 5 minutes. And guess what? Turns out the male staff FORGOT to input my order! Imagine how pathetically my time was wasted at a place where even the tables are crooked. I was so annoyed that I decided to just leave without eating anything, rather than waste another minute in a place that’s clearly not worth visiting. Service 0/5, place 0/5, overall experience 0/5. SERIOUSLY, if you value your time, money, and mood .NEVER even think about eating here! Run as far as you can and find a place that actually knows how to treat their customers...

FOOD VERDICT :

Tomyam Ayam Tomyam tastes a bit salty but the ingredients amount is aplenty

Sotong Goreng Tepung The squid ring is thick, chewy and soft. Very good

THE GOOD • One of the few restaurants alongside Jalan Alor operated by Malay • Extensive selection of food available including Thai cooks and seafood dishes • There's Ramly burger stall besides the bistro that also selling roti john • Menu price is reasonable • Decent service by the staffs and foods get delivered fairly quick • Close to MRT, monorail Bukit Bintang station

THE NOT-SO-GOOD • Seating availability is a bit limited • Can get a bit packed with customers especially during weekend's night • Cash...
