Stable Kitchens — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I went here for breakfast based from an online recommendation. I am not rating the food at the Stable Kitchens as they only sell drinks during breakfast service. But I read from reviews that they have a full service during dinner.

If you are looking for a variety of choices, then this is not the place to go to. There is only one stall opened and its a makcik selling lontong and nasi lemak.

The makcik has a very sour disposition. So don't expect smiles and friendly chit chats from her. They have a QR payment method but she keeps the QR code away, so when you ask for it, she'll grunt before pulling it out.

Her lontong kering is not even basic. Its just lontong with sambal and serunding. You need to have sambal jawa for it to be called a lontong kering.

On a positive note, her nasi lemak...

Absolutely terrible. Not recommended. For reference, we ordered grilled chicken, lamb chop & spaghetti carbonara smoked duck

Insufficient waiters Late food service, particularly pasta. (The same goes to other customers, as we observed them) Irresponsible workers. He had the audacity to say ‘takpe makan je lah dulu yang dah sampai’ after 45 minutes of waiting They packed the spaghetti ONLY AFTER we went to the kitchen. That was after 70 minutes of waiting & right before payment Such irresponsible ‘sorry ya’ mere words. That’s the only thing they do after we explicitly asked for a take-away instead of dine-in due to the late service. Should give compensation eg discount. And the spaghetti? NOT WORTH IT. RM20+ for such bland dish?

A few years back, we're always coming to this makcik for her Lontong Jawa every breakfast. Last time, her shop was located at traffic Setia Sky Residence. After MRT2 station done, they demolished the shop lot there. We thought that would be the end of the business there. But then, a miracle happened! One of my peers shared in his insta story about this makcik! She's back!!!!! So today, we took a chance to have our breakfast there. She opened here during breakfast only except Monday unless public holiday on that Monday, no off day. Go try her lontong jawa with Paru Goreng and Bergedil.
