An un-air conditioned traditional house that nonetheless was cool enough and quite tranquil. The latte (rm11) was very smooth and easy to drink without any trace of bitterness or acidity. The iced mocha (rm14) was likewise pleasant and chocolatey. The affogato (Rm10) was also very decent. The banana brulee cheesecake had a nice brulee top that cracked nicely when attacked with a fork, but the cake itself was somewhat firm when cut into (even though it was pretty much served at room temperature), tasted floury in the mouth, had a peculiar tang, and lacked the aroma and taste of ripe banana that one expects in any kind of banana cake. It almost felt like the bananas they used weren't ripe enough. The ondeh ondeh cheesecake was suitably soft and yielding and the topping of crumbled gula melaka was a nice touch. It was the clear favorite at the table, but for some reason, I had hoped for more of a coconut and pandan wallop than the little slice of...

Read moreVisiting from 🇸🇬 to this cozy little café with the sweetest munchkin cat welcoming guests! ☕🐈 Had their coffee, homemade tiramisu, and toast (with homemade kaya) — simple yet satisfying. The tiramisu was light and creamy, and the coffee paired perfectly with it. A lovely spot to slow down and enjoy some quiet moments (and cat company!).
Nothing fancy, just the kind of comfort that warms both the heart and the stomach, and the connection with the owner and his cat. A perfect spot for a slow...
