Tasted their ramen a few years ago in Singapore before they launched it in Malaysia. Their broth is not up to our expectations.
Yesterday we went to the restaurant to give it a try for a second chance. But too bad, it was still not up to our expectations. Maybe we already get used to M** ramen. Their broth totally can’t compare.
Their food price is on the high side but their portion is very small. Luckily we just give it a try when they are having promotional prices for the 37th anniversaries.
Two Regular Ramen @ RM37 only. I ordered Karaka Men. The taste of the broth was still acceptable. But Shiromaru Motoaji broth was too tasteless. My husband needs to request fresh garlic to add flavor. But they provided the cold garlic since no more fresh garlic. But still, we need it. The waiter apologized to us that having no more fresh garlic. My husband also personally add on the sesame to increase the flavor.
On my side, Karaka men tasted moderate. I add sesame, garlic, and dry chili to increase the taste of the broth. I ordered level 2 spiciness but still not spicy. Probably I get used to the high level of spiciness.

Read moreTried three types of ramen at Ippudo. All three the broth were so yummy and tasty. Really one of the best ramen broth around. The quality of food here is undisputable. The ramen were perfect, you have a choice on the texture of the ramen as well as spiciness of the broth. The pork belly were tender and tasty but however too fatty for my liking. The price is of course pretty high for some ramen with awesome broth but it is worth trying out. I will definitely be back, though not too often coz of the price, to try out the rest of the items on the menu. We had the dafuku...ice cream inside was very nice and the mochi skin very thin and of perfect texture. The service is excellent. Staff were efficient and attentive. Food was served very fast. Be ready to queue and wait if you come during peak lunch or dinner time, especially on weekends and public holidays.. Highly recommended to come weekdays and just before the peak lunch or dinner time. The ambience of the restaurant is just so zen and authentic. Love it...
Read moreOver rated review, the experience was just fine, not as amazing as the Google reviews suggested. The reviews might be misleading because the cashier desk actually asked customers to leave good reviews, maybe giving the rewards after review.
The service was not great—maybe because it was the fasting (Puasa) period. We didn’t expect a great service, but the staff seemed unmotivated and didn’t fully understand the requests. For example, we asked for an empty cup for our kids to try our tea, but the staff didn’t explain that there would be a charge. End up we were charged RM3 per cup. Additionally we did not know the reason behind this is because the tea is refillable.
As a big restaurant chain, their menu was also quite confusing. There were many hidden terms and extra charges that weren’t clearly stated, so we need to be careful when ordering.
Will not...
