Main gripe with this place was that the grill was actually dirty. There were bits of hardened stuff that I had to scrape away. Then I used tissues and the hot water that's given for soaking the utensils to wipe the grill down. Salads were old. The cabbage salad that came with the pork cutlet was browning. The iceberg and romaine lettuce were also yellowing. Haemul pajeon was thick and had bits of shrimp and squid. It was freshly made and arrived hot, so plus point here. The dipping sauce was extremely salty though. Bulgogi deobab was quite watery and we felt the bits of beef were really too little for the price. The place doesn't accept card payments and from the looks of it, won't be changing this aspect anytime soon, we think. The service was quite cold too. A big kicker were the final prices at the end of the meal. The menu doesn't state extra costs and it's mostly expected that there will be a service charge and whatnot, but the bill was really weird. There's 0% service charge and a 6% GST which are clearly stated in the bill. What's not right is that the final prices went up. Every single item on the menu was not priced the same at the bill. Bulgogi deobab became RM18.02 from the menu price of RM17. Haemul pajeon became RM34.98 from RM33. Why not just say you charge for service instead of upping the prices at the bill? Everything increased by 6%. It seems a lot more straightforward to charge GST and SST like most places do. Won't be dining here again.

We had dinner here on Sunday night. Not busy, there were many tables available. We ordered a Bibimbap, So Galbi Jjim (beef short ribs), and Makgeoli. Total bill RM91.15. Bibimbap was pretty good, the gochujang sauce was served separately, so diners can decide how much they want to put. I thought this was a good idea. Four stars for the bibimbap, because the egg was not runny, so the dish was not perfect for us. The galbi is too tough, though the portion was good. Banchan not enough taste. Overall three stars for the food. Service was so-so. There was no smile from the staff but at least there was a thank-you after we paid the bill, so I suppose that's the most we can expect in the service industry nowadays. Not sure how it compares with other Korean restaurants in Miri, but in our opinion this one is average. 3.5 stars, but can't do halves, so round up to 4. On a side note, the Makgeoli they serve is good, probably the nicest thing we had there.

Exploring Korean food in Miri! Dasarang Korean Restaurant is one of the best in the city. So, the other day we had our lunch there. What did we eat? 🍝 Jabchae 🍣 Gimbap 🥩 Pork belly 🍄 Mushroom 🍲 Jjigae (Korean stew) 🍚 Bibimbap It also as usual came with refillable banchan (side dishes). The food was really good. I loved the Bibimbap - it’s a very generous portion. You should also try jabchae. ❤️ Overall, a positive experience and if you happen to crave for the Korean food, it’s a good choice! The price is also very reasonable (especially to what you’d pay in KL for the same amount of food)☺️ Since it’s an indoor-dining, expect to come out smelly after grilling.

🎁May 2019 This is one of the most affordable Korean restaurants in Miri. The service is excellent, with responsive waiters and fast service.

The food is notably good. The Bibimbap, in particular, is a standout with its generous portion. We enjoyed a variety of dishes including the savory pancake, flavorful dumplings, tender bulgogi, and spiced pork stir-fry. The pork ribs and BBQ were also delicious, offering a rich and satisfying flavor.

The restaurant provides a good variety of side dishes, which can be refilled once, adding extra value to the meal. Overall, the combination of quality food, efficient service, and affordable prices makes this place a great choice for Korean...
