Gu Jin — Restaurant in Sarawak

This Chinese restaurant is located inside Sheraton Hotel, accessible via the elevator.. you can park at the hotel’s underground parking, next door at UTC building or across the road (depending on what you’re willing to pay).

The restaurant isn’t big in size but it has a selection between public sharing space or private rooms, depending on your number of diners & spendings.

Overall, it was a great experience for me and family with attentive & well mannered crew. They were courteous, polite and smiley throughout the evening. The food all came rather quickly, and the taste of our dishes were 9/10 and I’d highly recommend the Peking Roast duck.

The pricing is on the high side, but if you’re judging in terms of quality/value for money, I think it was worth the price tag paid. Definitely will visit again, thank you for the great food !

Service - Slow, waited longer than expected and they almost forgotten one of my order which we have to check on and it come like 30 mins later after the rest. I also don't know why I came earlier than the other table beside me but they get their food first. Wondering is it because I am local and they are foreigners? =X

Menu - No wide range of options available.

Dim Sum - Well presented, ravishing. But the taste is meh, I wouldn't call it bad, it just didn't meet my expectation or would we rather say it is beyond expectation with such presentation of how ravishing it look?

Overall I would grade this as a place that I will come once to try, but the next round I will have to think hard of whether it is really worth another visit for the price,...

Came here to try their dim sum. They did not have a wide range of menu options as compared to other places. The dim sum was well executed, but not really exceptional.

We also ordered some ala carte dishes, one notable dish is the black soy made tofu. Tofu tasted silky and went well with the gravy.

Dessert was a goji flavour ice cream which did surprise me, pretty unique and most importantly it is not too sweet.

Overall, given the high price, I think the food is decent but not really beyond...
