This branch is one where i regularly patronise and the staff service deserve top marks. However , one star is given for my visit yesterday due to : A trainee staff got my order wrong even though she repeated the order and I clearly pointed out to the dish. She struggled to understand and pronounce the words quesadillas, guacamole ,etc. I ordered a Santa Fe quesadilla , what came was a Classic quesadilla. Due to past history of correct orders by the staff, I assumed it was correct, took bites and found out it was wrong. 4/8 pieces had been eaten due to assumption it was a Santa Fe variety.
The manager was not helpful. After telling the manager, he did not bother to apologise . He didnt even applogise on the trainee's behalf! He didnt offer any compensation. Matter of fact, not much response from him. After telling him to replace it with the correct order and take it to go, he came back with my takeaway with ONLY 4 PIECES! He was so particular about the fact 4 pieces remained that he only placed 4 quesadilla pieces !! You all represent the restaurant , not me! You should know your dishes! And if you make a mistake, own up to it!
Trainees are not well trained in their theory. Trainee didnt even know what is TABASCO SAUCE! I had to google it up and show her. She still didnt recognize the image. Even then, she didnt know where it was and had to ask more than 1 staff where it was. she cant recognize names of dishes on the menu, even when showed by the customer.
It is quite odd , but looks like your trainees need some evaluation before being selected fr table duty if they are not familiar with your menu or basic condiments. Overall a very disappointing visit.
The only pro out of this was your trainee Miss Tina . She was stellar in her management of the situation! NOT YOUR MANAGER! She apologized, spoke well and managed the situation with great expertise. TAKE HER IN AND GIVE HER A RAISE OR SOMETHING.

As you enter chili's you are greeted by the phrase 'welcome to chili's' which I realised doesnt change between customers similar to how the staff on Japanese restaurants exclaim 'ma-se ma-se'. Then you are greeted again by a personal waiter or waitress as they answer all the questions you and of the restaurant. After a slightly moderate wait time, all your food arrives allowing multiple diners to start immediately. After your meal, you are then asked about your likes and dislikes of the food and the overall experience which showed me that they do seem to understand the importance of feedback. Great experience and location would come back again.
Luckily this branch has enough staff to assign you a personal waiter or waitress dedicated to your table which is the first time I've seen this happen in chili's. The waitress that was assigbed to me was attentive towards my questions and allowed me to receive service in a few seconds contrary to the 1 minutes average at other chili's branches. Which in itself makes it ahead of the other branches.
Food wise it's preparation and taste is closest to the Bangsar Shopping Centre branch of chili's. I ordered the santa Fe burger and the scampi prawn pasta. The fries that came with the burger was slightly better than average however the scampi wasn't sizzling ( would love to have it sizzling) usually in other branches it comes sizzling.
This is the best chili's branch in kl due to the friendly and attentive staff and manager which are always seeking ways to stand out from other branches.

Read moreFelt like having a steak after getting stuffs in the mall, and was quite happy to learn Chili's is in Sunway Pyramid now. Shows it's been really a long while since we dropped by this mall due to MCO CMCO... So anyways, wife ordered their Crispy Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers® and I had ribeye steak, medium well. I like my steak that way. The steak was served well-done. I was thinking, nevermind, times are bad, I'm just going to finish my meal and leave. But the manager is very attentive (forgot to ask for his name), constantly checking on every diners is the food OK and all. So he noticed I wasn't really pleased with my steak, took it back and serve a new one. Then the new plate is served but it's medium rare instead of medium well. I'm having good mood and impressed with the manager's attentiveness so we just continue having our dinner.
I couldn't finish the steak as it's not to my liking and again the manager surprised us by apologizing for the steak and mentioned he realised the steak is not up to my liking and waived it off.
Now this is a commendable kind of service. I just hope and wish this kind of passion and attentiveness would continue.
