Grand Imperial Restaurant — Restaurant in Subang Jaya

This place serves chinese style Rice Dishes with a good environment. Back again this time for a wedding dinner. I believe the package is about Rm 1.8k per table

Atmosphere: 4.5🌟 Very nicely decorated. Last time I had dinner at level 1 and this time at level 2. Both levels have a wedding ceremony today. Level 2 has a more private feel as level 1 is just near the public bridge (for their reception).

Food: Grand Imperial Five Season Combination 3.5🌟 Appetizers which has 5 different items. Visually is nice and unique way of presenting it. Stuffed Shrimp Head 3.5🌟- Flavourful, fillings similar to meatballs Garlic Pork Ribs 3🌟- A bit too small pieces, not much flavour Ham wrap Scallop 3🌟- Fried, not much flavour as well Mayo Truffle Prawn 3.25🌟 Slice Drunken Chicken with Amorphallus 3🌟Its a bit like noodles, smooth with some crunchiness, the more refreshing item on this plate

Food: Double Boiled Abalone Mushroom Chicken Soup 3.25🌟 Its quite good as you can taste the chicken flavour without too much MSG nor its too oily but chicken meat is a bit rough for some parts.

Food: Grilled Iberico Spare Ribs 3.25🌟 The sauce tasted bit mild (not much flavour) but the meat is tender.

Food: Orange Roughly Fish 3.75🌟 Very tender fish and sauce is light but quite flavourful. Can taste truffle flavour in it and the fish feels fresh as well.

Food: Bailing Mushroom with Stuffed Meatballs 3.75🌟 The mushroom is sliced quite thin, very smooth but also very soft. The brocoli is tasteless, you'll need the sauce to eat with it to have some flavour. Shark fin probably is not a real one (which I don't quite mind) as its sort of like melting into sauce which made it failed texture wise. 2 things is good which is the bean curd, smooth and nice. The Meatballs its even better, very flavourful and nice. This dish would be fantastic if the other items have flavours to match up to these 2.

Food: Glutinous Rice with Waxed Meat 3.75🌟 This is good, the dish is flavourful and crunchy. The rice very nice texture where its a bit sticky, hard at some parts and soft at some parets. The waxed meat (not too much, amount feels right) and dried shrimps really enhanced it's flavour.

Food: Red Bean Soup with Glutinous Rice Ball 3🌟 Not sweet and the beans are boiled till broken and should have it together with the Sesame Peanut Ball else by itself, it is below average. Rice balls is a bit like taro balls and not much flavour as well.

Dessert: Osmanthus Jelly with Sesame Peanut Ball 3.5🌟 Nice but its sweet so should have together with Red Bean soup. The jelly can eat it by itself, not too sweet and will be more refreshing it is...

Booked in advance to celebrate my mom's birthday on a Sunday morning. Hoping for a nice well planned hearty and warm morning dim sum breakfast. But was greeted at the entrance by a staff in distress, handling a few bookings. Turns out they had internal communication failure where that morning they only take in first come first serve customers, due to a wedding function. So technically, I booked in advance for nothing, having to wait for our turn to get an empty table.

After waiting on hungry stomachs, we finally got a table, right at the entrance. Food tasted weird. Charsiewpao was sickeningly sweet. Some of the dumplings tastes really strange and is filled with some kind of damp ingredients instead of the usual delicious fillings. Food quality was very disappointing.

It didn't end with that. We all experienced food poisoning yesterday in the early evening and stomachache. 5 out of 6 of us had diarrhoea. I am still having tummy discomfort as I am writing this now.

This is a terrible experience. Sadly, fell on the day we celebrated ours mom's birthday too. The restaurant has some explaining to do serving food which is not safe for...

Attended Friend's wedding yesterday. The fish portion look generous but very not ok especially the texture. Although they sauce and paste alot but still can't cover the strong fishy smell. Maybe they shouldn't use this kind of fish? 2nd bad weird food is the tuna fish in cone that come along with the duck...looks nice as deco but not ok when eat as the cone no longer crunchy (or is it supposed to be like that?) Anyway, I dunno how to enjoy the tuna in cone. These 2 food (steamed fish and tuna in cone) probably need improvement otherwise hard to eat.

Other food taste not bad + portion quite generous especially the taste of the fried glutinous rice with assorted meat wrapped in lotus leaf really yummy 😋. I rarely eat glutinous rice but this 1 really 👌 and as usual this meal they usually served at 2nd or 3rd last before end of wedding dinner, already feel full but still want...
