Can't sit under Aircon table if using charcoal because they have to clean the plastic panel!!!! Read on....
Had lunch on a blazing hot Sunday afternoon. When we walked in it was like a furnace as there were no customers and the AC was off. We were asked if we wanted charcoal or electric...I chose charcoal. We were gestured to our table. I asked to sit at the table right under the aircond and was refused and gestured to the table on the side claiming by the staff that it is cooler there. So we sat there, they turned on the AC and a fan. It was really hot as we started grilling our meat. As time went on the restaurant became crowded and it was getting really hot and stuffy..the fan was not doing it's job. I asked one of the staff (Korean) he was also the cashier why we could not sit at the table under the aircond.......his reply BECAUSE LATER WE HAVE TO CLEAN THE PLASTIC PANEL OF GREASE. Isn't that part of running a clean restaurant??? Later as the restaurant got busy guest were allowed to sit on the table we requested earlier when we were the only ones in the restaurant. The guest that sat there used CHARCOAL!! Totally disappointed. Noticed the staff was not wearing gloves when arranging salad on the tray. The walkway leading to the toilets were dirty. Food wise, marinated meat...too salty and can taste the overpower of the curry powder used. This was a second visit........NEVER...
Read moreHad the second (rm37.90++) bbq meal option with my family. The price is considered affordable due to no time limitation.
However, for the food choices, the pork is a bit thick and therefore time consuming to wait for it to be cooked and tasted so so only. The marinated pork was ok as it is softer than samgyupsal but it is easier to be burnt. The lamb is marinated nicely and tasted great. Other than that, octopus, squid, chicken were not so nice, even we have cooked octopus for a long time but it is still soft like uncooked one (quite disgusting).
Banchan were provided with a lot of choices but japchae was too oily and teokpokki was served cold which we never expected.
The speed of refilling food was quite fast except at the beginning waiting for them to fill in charcoal (I have waited for 40 minutes).
*Please remember that the beverage they served at first (a jug of Korean tea) will not be refillable which they didn’t mention to us, and you have to additionally order their drinks (a bit pricey) which I felt quite surprised for a bbq buffet meal.
For the service part, they were ok but lack of staff which I think is due to their wants to maintain all Korean staff.
After all, the only thing I enjoyed is the marinated lamb and I don’t think I will visit here again for the reason of less attractive...
Read moreEdit: After some discussion with the owner, they have since promised to fix the mentioned issues down below, which i hope may be the last time such oversight happens. Kudos for the owner for being very responsive, and trying to do the right thing.
SAFETY WARNING!!! Take great care when placing your legs under the table if you opt for the charcoal grill. I burnt my leg as i was quite tall, brushing against the UNPROTECTED bottom metal housing that holds the charcoal. 1 star for safety planning
OWNER, take note!!!!! This is a serious safety concern. Get some 2 by 4 MDF boards, or plexiglass shielding, and cover the metal housing to ensure it is safe for people with long legs, or mischievous children. I dare not think what happens if a child were to accidentally place their hands on that hot unprotected metal...
Food quality is good, price is cheap, but staff looks quite overworked as they have to serve the side dishes straight from the kitchen, as opposed to customers taking it themselves.
I will wish to dine here again if they fixed the safety...
