Papa Sam's — Restaurant in Malé

Papa Sam's was my favorite restaurant before. Today, I visited around 3pm for my late lunch. Ordered 1 chili cheese fries with coke, and when I ordering I clearly mentioned that I would order 1 burger takeaway later for my friend.

Chili cheese fries served right after my order and very hard and cold. Even sauce on top was not hot at all. I called wait staff twice but he couldn't hear me and I just ate it because I was so hungry and I called wait staff again and ask don't want to order take away burger anymore because chili cheese fries was really bad not like before, but she said it's already cooked and just brought burger and bill on my table and go. The person who took orders from me not even bothers to come and say something to me. When I settle the bill, I spoke to him that I have no choice now because you already made and charged me, but why just proceed without asking me, and he said he didn't heared that and walk away. He is simply ruining this restaurant. If he just says sorry to me, I will not spend my time putting reviews online. But I wish other people would know how bad service and food are now in this restaurant. Will not...

Came here for a celebration of my colleague's special day. I loved the ambience- it was cool, cozy & comfortable. The experience was amazing. The mains were fantastic which were yummy and were quite appealing as their flavours simply blended with the style of preparation of each dish. The side dishes were also quite good. The best on the menu that tantalized my taste buds were Quinoa salad, veg tempura, and butter chicken. However, the biryani could've been modified with a touch of real Indian masala to give an authentic flavour of Indian dum biryani, but it was also well prepared. I'd give a 4/5 for biryani- as nothing beats 'the biryani' !! It was the best party place planned accomodating a group of special friends and also making it a memorable evening. All the delicacies were fresh and had the warmth of home-made food. The chef took great care in selecting the best quality ingredients & preparing it with love for the b'day boy & his guests! New review: The team was quick to address the concern and reworked the burger, and sent a new one the following day. There was a significant improvement in the content and the quality of the burger. There is still some room for improvement, but I think the team will figure it out with a bit of time, and I'm eager to try it out again in the future.

More than anything, I genuinely appreciated the seriousness they have taken addressing feedback and the service culture of the team, which is one of the most important things in the industry.
