Manouche Craft Bakery & Bistro Valletta — Restaurant in Valletta

Went there especially for the hot chocolate because for 5.50€ I imagined the best possible hot chocolate Malta can offer. Menu states "Milk or dark chocolate with torched homemade marshmallow" fyi. So we get the drink, it's not even hot, a bit over room temperature, ready to drink it immediately and better hurry as soon it will get cold. The chocolate is not thick, it's regular, like the ones you do with the powder, additionally no marshmallow, basically the most basic hot chocolate that can be done in the convenience of you own home. Then when I went to pay they tried charging me 5.50 for this sorry excuse of hot chocolate. When I said there was not even a marshmallow in there, they made 10% discount, making the price to 5euro 😄😄😄 So yeah....save to say I am not going back there for anything. The sad part for me is that I dragged myself out of home in a storm just to have a good hot chocolate. Couldn't be more...

Very disappointing to see the lack of hygiene in this place. Firstly I sat on the table and the waiter whilst cleaning dropped all the crumbs on the table on my lap. I asked him to be careful and his reply was "come on man". Not even an apology. Then to top it up they gave me a cappucino in a cup with red lipstick on it.... I must say excellent hygiene!!

It seems the owner here is putting the blame on "certain lipstick brands being more difficult to remove than others". Response is pathetic and lacks insight of being at fault. Maybe you should teach your staff to check your cutlery and cups before serving people. Would you like to drink from a dirty cup putting at risk the health of your customers? Thanks God we are...

We were walking past this outdoor restaurant at lunch time and the menu on the board outside looked good (we just wanted a salad for lunch) so went in. The only tables available were at the back undercover but that was fine as it was a busy Saturday.

We ordered the duck leg salad and chicken Caesar salad with some fries as a side and were advised that they would be prepared to order. Almost an hour later they arrived and then had to wait another 10 minutes for the fries. The food was pretty ordinary - lettuce was soggy and the duck was served as a full leg rather than being shredded so made it a bit more to cut up on a veg of salad.
