I feel so sad leaving this review. My boyfriend and I have been loyal customers of this Birria stand for 7 years; we eat here at least once during each visit to cdmx. The food is delicious and the man who owns/runs the place is quiet but lovely. We are always quiet and respectful ourselves, and act no differently than a local would. Today we went and were treated with such disrespect by a waiter whom I have never seen before. She offered to explain the system in English, and we said Spanish was fine. Then we asked if they have change for a big bill (if not we would go get change first), and she said it was no problem. She proceeded to trash talk us to other customers and the owner in Spanish (which we speak enough of) throughout the time we were there, saying we used to many napkins (we didn’t) and complaining about having to give us change, among other things.
