Lugar clasista. Me dijo...
Racist place. I arrived to check it out. I asked the waiter if he had a table available for one. He told me that everything was full. I told him I would wait and I stood there at the door. A few minutes later a white gringo couple arrived behind me. They asked for a table for two. The same waiter told them that he would seat them at the bar right away. He even moved a chair because there was only room for one in the corner. I told the waiter, -Hey, I asked you for a table earlier. He got nervous and apologized. I told him that it was not fair. He told me... It's that they made a reservation. I told him -It's not true, I'm listening to everything. He told me, sorry but I'll seat you at the next table right now... I spoke to the manager. I told him that it was not fair that because they were gringos and white they gave them the seat earlier. He told me that it had nothing to do with it (he minimized the situation. He was an Argentine/Uruguayan with blue eyes). He told me that it was as they arrived. I told him that I arrived first. He apologized and I told him to take care of that. That I wasn't going to stay. That it was a shame that it was a place like that. @profecomx @conapred @foro @n.mas...
Read moreI stumbled in here while looking for breakfast and the reviews seemed good so I said why not? Croissant with egg and avocado is absolutely wonderful. One of the best I’ve had. I couldn’t resist the sweet bread with pecans either and that was spot on. I got everything to go so I didn’t get to enjoy the place but I did notice it was the same owners as Sartoria across the street. It raised my expectations even more and they were met for sure.
A posted written menu would be helpful, even in Spanish, to get a sense of what’s available without trying to memorize all the options the waiter is telling me, or having to stare...
Read moreThe food is high quality and delicious but the service is always such a turn off. I would come here more if the service wasn’t so immediately disappointing. Every single time I pop my head in to ask about anything - bread, the menu etc - they barely give me the time of day, act like I’m bothering them, no smiles, no nothing. Most of the time I leave because of that. But given the menu and quality of the food, I decided to give it a try - despite the same cold welcome. Took like an hour to get a simple panini! Ugh I really want to like this place more. Please train your staff to be...
