CDMX Eats 2024 #94, Taco #32: I found this place on Google Maps and came here based on the stellar reviews. Unfortunately, I left disappointed.
While the food (tacos) are good, or above average, they are tiny (the smallest I've had in Mexico City). When I first received my order, I thought it was a joke/prank, but alas, it was not. I understand the meat is high quality, but these are way too small for $35 pesos/pz.
For the price, they need to be incredible, and for me, they were just good. I would much rather pay $37 pesos for a large steak taco at El Sirloin or $52 pesos for a huge fried shrimp taco at El Pescadito (which is what I did after I left here).
The people who own/run this place are very, very friendly and personable. There's not really anywhere to sit and eat. Once you collect your food, there are two standing tables with 4 salsas on each. I also think there's a bench, but I'm unsure if that's for this restaurant or the one next door.
While I like the concept (and the people running it are sweet), neither is enough for...
Read moreOk, we have been in Mexico for a few days now and have sampled some very fine tacos. These tacos however, I will be dreaming about once we head back home to Canada - best we had. The guacamole sauce was also delicious! This was a "by accident" find for us, but you should add it to your list in La Condesa.
No sit down space, just...
Read moreStop by this little gem, and decided to try it out. This place currently only sell one type of taco, the Pkña. But don’t let this fool you! This is a slow braised meat, meaning this taco packs a lot of flavor/punch. They do offer salsa such as árbol and verde which compliments the meat, but in my opinion you do not need it. It will be exciting to see the direction of this restaurant...
