I ordered a huevos rancheros with soy chorizo. When the dish arrived and I smelt it, it was sour and the chorizo also tasted sour. Immediately I felt it wasn’t right but because the waiter, a young Mexican was already giving attitude when we asked to move from inside to outside as the sun had come out, I was scared to anger her to send the dish back to the kitchen. I pushed the soy chorizo to the side and ate the eggs.

Safe to say it was a bad choice by me as I had a bad stomach that afternoon and into the next morning.

Popped by for a casual Thursday dinner after flying in from Chicago and it was perfect. Delicious food, English menu and service, casual vibe. All under $30 with tip. Had a high chair for our 1 year old, but the food was generally on the spicy side for him. As a note, you may want to sit slightly inside to avoid sidewalk salesmen.

Desayunando crepas de huitlacoche. I found this place by accident on Avenida Alvaro Obregón again while looking for another place. They had huitlacoche and a handsome man my age was sitting outside. What more could I ask for?

Huitlacoche has a very delicate taste. If you add too many salsas or queso you cannot taste the huitlacoche. These were perfect.
