Trust me when I tell you, you will get the best, most loving, cup of coffee at Fuego y Cafe. It’s a husband and wife duo behind this magical place - Elisa comes from a family history rooted in coffee growing and roasting, and Armando manages the shop and expertly crafts the pour overs. The beans are grown and roasted by this duo and their team in Estado Mexico, so everything you try is in-house and so special! Their pour overs are absolutely excellent. They will pair the bean with the right method and prepare it right in front of you. It’s a very generous and special experience. I’m an espresso girl myself and I must say, they prepare the best flat white and latte I’ve had in the city! You can actually taste the espresso - it’s delicious and complex.
Do yourself a favor and come here to enjoy your coffee and pastries and support Armando...
Read moreOn my second trip here in two days, I overheard another coffee enthusiast in this cafe say ‘this place has so many 5 star reviews I thought they must be fake!’ Nah man, this place is just that good. Seriously strong, both times we came here I was buzzing so hard when I got up I felt dizzy. Good thing they also have delicious babka to soak up some of that caffeine (is that how it works??)
Don’t miss this spot if you’re a coffee lover staying in La Condesa or nearby. I almost gave it 4 stars just to make the average look more realistic, but nah— this place is the definition of...

This has taken my breath as one of the best coffee experiences I have had in my short time in the city. The staff are friendly, and have very good English as a bonus. The views of the park across the street are pleasant, and the place has a bohemian feel to it.
My first drink was a cortado with their natural processed coffee. It was very good and paired amazingly with the orange water they had available.
My second cup was a V60 and the owner personally came over to my table, unprompted, to put the drink in front of me and have a conversation about the coffee. The cup was excellent and the owner was happy to talk about coffee with me.
I had a great time here and would highly recommend it to any...
