Burgerbar Damstraat — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I’ll start off by saying I’m giving two stars before I’ve had the burger from here. I ordered at around midnight. It was not especially busy. After I ordered I asked how long it would take. The person at the cash register said about 10 minutes. I said that was fine considering the last metro back to my hotel was in 20 minutes. After 8 minutes I asked for an update. The guy asked if I was in a rush and I said yes because I was hoping to leave in 2 minutes. He said “that’s not happening” and I noticed that he had just placed the patty on the grill. We ended up missing the last metro ride and had to take the much longer tram as a result. Normally I wouldn’t complain about an extra long wait considering we took 25 minutes there but once I received my food he let me know there was no bacon. Again normally I wouldn’t mind but maybe let me know before I order? At this point I was late to take the very last tram of the night and of course didn’t have time to ask for a refund or an exchange of food. I said it was fine and left. I later checked and am pretty sure my meal was supposed to come with French fries. Well it didn’t. So again, between all these things I wouldn’t normally complain but my order was extremely delayed, I did not receive my order (x2) and I don’t have time to check. Good evening, Visited 17th November 2023 8:55pm We went into the local to have the burger menu inside (not to take away). It was 8:55 pm approximately. We had ordered three menus, and the responsible of the local told us that we will wait a bit more because there weren't enough fries. We wait approximately 15 mins while others who arrived later picked up their order. After a long waiting, the responsible told us that finally there are not fries, they will serve us only the burger but they give us a different burguer. After that, at last, we sitted inside in order to eat the burguer 30 mins later. Suddenly, the responsible order us to go out because they are going to close the local earlier than usual because the other workmate is new and blablablah.. In summary, after 30 min waiting, they kick us out of the local with a different order and we had to eat it outside in that cold night.. Is not something about schedules or local regulations, but rather it is a matter of education and humanity. I suggest that if it happens again, keep that people who stay inside the local eating and have the door of the local closed in order to not allow to enter more people and let finish the lunch to the people inside. Weirdest experience I had amongst all my visits to different locations of burger bar! This was Friday 6th in the evening where it took a very long time to get our food. I understand DE&I incentives and fully backing it up. But the staff chosen are just not proper for a fast-paced high intensity work in the middle of Amsterdam on a Friday night. The guy literally had to think for 3 minutes what to put as the next topping every time he added something to the burger.
