Chatime Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Ever since I came to Chatime I've enjoyed their bubble tea's! Their staff is very nice and always ready to help you with your order if you're confused. You can customize everything about your drink which really makes it your own drink~. Once you've placed your order you can watch the staff make your drink from the kitchen upstairs by a tv screen and they are not shy to wave to you 😊. Once the drink is done it will be delivered to you with the (Boba) belt. I've been reading alot of reviews about 'not being able to open inside' but since it can get quite messy I fully understand the rule. This was the first Chatime i've been to and for the longest time has been my favorite in Amsterdam. They make the best bubble tea that live up to my preferences. The tapioca is chewy (most of the time, it usually depends on who makes them). Chatime has now expanded to more locations such as Utrecht and I believe Rotterdam. I've also been to Chatime in Utrecht and it was quite spacious, meanwhile Amsterdams' Chatime is still quite compact and since they've become a bigger company I feel like it might be time for an expansion. Edit: from the reaction below they make it seem like they just closed the door to limit new customers, but the shop person left for a solid 5 minutes so us customers couldn't freely leave and were left on our own.

The drinks are fine, but quite expensive for what it is. What really bothered me was that the shop staff stepped out for a bit and locked us customers inside so we couldn't leave. Not only is that unsafe (fire safety, medical emergency) its also very illegal(vrijheidsberoving).
