A very beautiful restaurant, interior is stunning, in a good location. We were a group of 4, and all chose from the meal deal menu, which combines a main pancake meal, orange juice, hot drink, and portrait experience. 3 of the group went for the full English, I went for the Royal, which also came with a granola and yoghurt side.

We did the portrait experience first, this was a lot of fun, your picture is taken and you are then presented with 6 portraits in different artist styles - you choose one and it is printed off and put in a card sleeve with a QR code to get the digital version. This was funny and a fun addition to the visit.

Next, the food. I went for the Royal which allowed me to pick from the pancake menu my choice of main. I chose The Masterpiece. And it was a masterpiece... It was delicious.

My wife got her food at the same time as mine, a full English pancake option. We then waited for our friends food to arrive before we started... It didn't come. Eventually, we asked a server who went to the kitchen to check and almost immediately came back with the 2 plates that were missing. How long have they been sitting I wonder? Then, we start, and 3 of us are enjoying our food, but 1 discovers his pancake is black, burnt through, front and back. This was highlighted to a server who took it away and came back later with another pancake and the other elements of the dish having obviously been scraped from the original plate onto the new pancake, it looked terrible as all elements were thrown together.

I thoroughly enjoyed mine... But at the same time some of our party did not have a good experience. This is a shame as it could very easily have been a 5-star experience but was held back by long wait times, a really bad individual dish experience and no...

Stepping into this restaurant truly feels like walking into a gallery, with its charming decor celebrating masters like Vincent van Gogh and Rembrandt. I loved that every dish was served on a painter's palette, a clever touch that certainly suited multiple palates!

However, while the presentation was artful, the food itself was surprisingly flat. The flavors felt a bit muted, as if the chef had run out of colors, leaving the dishes as a study in beige rather than vibrant creations. It won't be hanging in a gallery of my top meals, but it was perfectly average.

Now, for the service... it was a bit of a blur, like an impressionist painting from across the room. Our waiters did their best Vincent Van Gogh impression by pretending they'd lost an ear, expertly brushing us off whenever we tried to get their attention. Waiting for our food genuinely felt like watching paint dry.

Despite the various smudges on our overall experience, this place is definitely worth at least one sitting for its unique concept. The real masterstroke is how they render your photo into a classic Rembrandt or Van Gogh, giving you a fun, personalized portrait to take home. It's a visit for the art of it, if not for the culinary...

An excellent place with Dutch pancakes close to the metro station. I’ve been there twice in a row, and each time the waiters and waitresses were very kind, smiling, professional, and helped me choose the best pancakes (thank you, Simone! :)). The pancakes were absolutely delicious, and the chefs put a lot of heart into them. The plates look appetizing and so beautifully presented that it almost feels like a shame to eat them. The cups, plates, and cutlery are very elegant. So it's clear that every detail is carefully thought out. Of all the restaurants and cafes I've visited, this is definitely a 10/10. As for the place itself, it’s very elegant, with paintings hanging everywhere, making it feel like you’re in a museum. There are also paintings on the way to the toilets (along the way, you can see how the chefs prepare the pancakes), and though the toilets are nice, there was clearly a lack of cleaning service, as water was pretty much everywhere on the sink and the floor. This may not happen regularly, and of course, it doesn't affect my rating, but it would be great if a restaurant this elegant maintained cleanliness at all times. I can't wait to come back to you again! Best regards from Munich!...
