I have visited this restaurant so many time and I know the people working here personally. Almost nobody in this restaurant's kitchen wear gloves. They don't wash their hands routinely. In this restaurant, chefs are also dishwashers. So when the chefs finished dishwashing and come back to their kitchen, there's no guarantee that they wash their hands. They turn off the timer most of the time which reminds them of washing and cleaning routines every certain period of time.
I saw their kitchen was always messy and dirty. Their toilets are usually dirty because they routinely clean the toilets only once a day. Their bar disk is usually full and messy with dirty glasses. When I came inside to pay at the counter, the unpleasant view of dirty dishes in a big grey container and crates with empty bottles, were right in front of me. This restaurant is in general disorganized. In the summer time, it was normal to wait 30 minutes to get my food served.
Almost all of their cocktails are premixed syrups with alcohol. Their home-made ice teas are factory made syrups. Most of their food are frozen. Everything they claim as home-made are factory made, delivered from Belgium. They are required to put expiry date stickers by the government, on the food and drinks but they just changed the stickers when the expiry dates are over.
Their burgers shouldn't be eaten medium rare. They DO serve their burgers medium if you don't say anything, BUT depends on the chefs, I got sometimes medium rare when I ordered medium. I could still complain and ask for a new medium burger though. But their medium Meatlover burger is medium rare because they said it's supposed to be eaten medium rare.
They have rodent problems which is not a big deal. So they put rat poison around the restaurant. The problem is when a rat is dead and it smells during weekends or during Fridays, the rodent control company couldn't come and clean the dead rat until Mondays.. So customers sometimes have to tolerate the smell of dead mouse.
The restaurant space, tables and chairs are narrow. Their decoration of beehives with wooden color, grey color and dry grass on the wall didn't give the impression of being GOURMET. It gave me the impression of a pharmacy instead.
During this summer, I saw their restaurant manager M. Alberts answered some French guests with sarcastic and superior tone. He was rude and was making fun of some Indian guests and price-sensitive guests behind their backs. Their burgers are overpriced for local people. Their food is good but not outstanding. It’s for sure not for sharing because the portions were so small. I said something to the waiter because one of the 14 pieces was literally the smallest top part of an onion ring (I really wish I’d taken a picture for reference). And I made a comment about it to the waiter and he was rude and sarcastically said he’d replace the one tiny onion ring piece for me. The atmosphere was great. Service and portions were terrible. The bathrooms were also disgusting. Not sure the waiters name is Hussein I think. He wears glasses. They ended up bringing a side dish of onion rings to make up for it. Read moreI live locally with my family and have ordered from this restaurant many different times and more often than not my husband and I both have received totally raw burgers. Not undercooked. RAW! We’ve not only given them another chance but multiple other chances to redeem themselves and since we’ve received raw burgers just about every time we’ve ordered so will not be returning and suggest to anyone who doesn’t want to eat raw burger meet to not order from here as well. Moreover, one of the times my husband asked for a refund due to the raw burgers, the restaurant told him “no” for the reason that the food was already delivered and already in our hands. So we paid €30 plus for a dinner we couldn’t even eat and this has happened MORE THAN ONCE!!!! Sadly this is not the only place that delivers completely raw burgers in this city. It’s a f**king joke....
