Febo in Amsterdam is a famous Dutch fast food chain, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. I heard about it through a YouTube video just a day before arriving in Amsterdam, and we were eager to give it a try, especially for its renowned croquettes.

Febo is practically ubiquitous in Amsterdam, with locations all over the city. It's a self-service fast food joint where you can conveniently pay with your card. Now what makes it stand out, is its variety of mouthwatering snacks that are made fresh, so they are served piping hot and exceptionally tasty.

We ended up trying quite a few of the snacks including the Kaassoufflé (Pastry made from butter puff pastry filled with cheese.) Chicken stick (kipcorn) Beef croquette (Rundvleeskroket) Veal croquette (kalfsvleeskroket) Speciaaltje (Crispy pastry of Dutch beef and chicken, onions and spicy herbs.)

I would literally travel to Amsterdam just to have these snacks!!

(Just a small tip, not all Febo locations may have the snacks stocked up. We found ourselves in this location where they had everything available, so I would recommend visiting this one.)

Total disregard for food safety! They are putting fries in the oil but not pressing any timer butons! They are taking them out before the program is set to finish! Time in oil is normaly set to 3 min 30 sec...I’ve seen them taking them out at around 2 min 30; that makes them basicaly half raw super hot fries....don’t even want to think about the chicken wings or the crockets wich are done behind eyes! Discussed at some point the issue with an employee and he admited that some of hid colleagies does that! My last time there, one guy took fries wich were allready done and threw them back in the frying basket, I had to mention to the guy that I want fresh fries and not reheated fries! FEBO is a dutch fast food chain that is just super chip, the place isn't really clean and you can see it is super chip food everything was deep fried but it is tastest cheap food you can get in amsterdam that's why I give it a 4 star. The buying system is an wall with a lot of small locked cells that gets Un locked when you but in the cost of the locked dish in the cell, because of the place popularity it always "fresh" so don't worry about it.
