FireAway Pizza — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Price wise it is OK for the quantity of food and in the photos they look OK too but don't let that fool you, the pizza is just so bland!!

Anyone that knows pizza knows that it is the dough that is the most important thing and this pizza base is as bland as it gets.

I ordered the office fireworks menu with normal and gluten free bases and both were barely average.

The tomato sauce was bland as were the toppings.

I only ordered because of the Google 4.5 rating realistically this should be more 4.0 or below.

I used to order gluten free pizza from the excellent Loulou pizza on massstraat but that has closed. The other place that is reasonably good for gluten free pizza is pizza heart.

There are actually reasonably good independent pizza stores in Amsterdam unfortunately only a few sell gluten free pizzas.

If you have to order a pizza from a chain store in Amsterdam I rank them as Papa johns Dominos / New york pizza And Fireaway is worse then all of the above.

I placed the order at 4pm for a 5.45 pm delivery time through thuisbezorgd and it was 30 minutes late and the pizza was already luke warm making them even less appealing.

The pizza is edible but just not enjoyable. You have to be pretty indifferent to be able to make a pizza unenjoyable.

Anyway I give them 2 stars just for the quantity of food they give you.

To Fireaway corporate HQ has anyone gone down and tried the pizza from this branch? because if this represents the true quality of your pizza this branch will...

The food decreased its quality, the staff became unfriendly, and the restaurant does not have much of a good atmosphere.

I ordered two pizzas, a side of chicken tenders, and a coke. I had it delivered and to my surprise, half of my meal was missing. I did not receive one of my pizzas and got only half an order of chicken tenders. The pizza that did arrive tasted burnt and looked like it was handled after being prepared and served. As for the tenders, they were somewhat burnt, dry and three of them were missing. I called the restaurant to inform them about this mistake and ask if it was possible to get the missing part of the meal. However, the staff member was not friendly and he showed not to care for my situation. I have not been able to get my refund, so I ended up paying for food that I did not receive. As for the atmosphere, the place feels uncomfortable to eat in as it is quite small and it’s missing better atmosphere, such as music and better decorations.

I had been a customer for over a year now, however I would not recommend stopping by as, in my opinion, the food is not worth it anymore and the staff is not...

I'm really disappointed with this place. I told him, at least 4 times, that we wanted ALL VEGAN. I asked him if was possible to make the garlic bread with VEGAN CHEESE and he told me yes. We received ONE vegan pizza, one vegetarian and the garlic bread was also vegetarian. And when I told him that I asked for VEGAN things he said that I WAS wrong, not him. My boyfriend ate the vegetarian things, but the waiter didn't want to change the food even when I told him that it wasn't what we asked for. I should have left that place and let all the food in the table for the unpleasant behavior. Obviously I'm not going to repeat and I don't recommed to anybody. I'm waiting...
