Greenwoods Keizersgracht — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I'm Dutch, not originally from Amsterdam tough. I try to explore cafe's and restaurant in my spare time to see which one are good for coming back and which one to better avoid next time.

I've been to this location twice, once in October 2023 and today. I like to have a good, not very healthy but who cares, a Full English Breakfast, with a cappuccino. You can see what I've got in October on the left side and what I got today on the right side (toast was served later, but only 1 slice unfortunately)

_Service Both of the days I came here, the service was quite rapid. True, the location is not very big but still, you don't have to ask the waitress as she be earlier at your time to check if everything is alright. No comments here.

_Food The quality of the food is very good! Everything was warm, fresh and a wide variety on the plate that you get for an English Breakfast! The amount you get right now is slightly less than October but that's hardly noticeable.

_Price So this dish cost almost 18 euros. Is it cheap? Definitely not but think about the context: Even if you've stopped eating for 3 days, this will be more than enough as I didn't actually fully finish my plate both times (don't tell anyone :). The cappuccino was 4.20 which was okay I think.

_Place Lovely English vibe as it's quite dark but also cozy at the same time. There is a big paining of ships on one side of the wall to enjoy your meal with.

_Conclusion Fantastic restaurant with very good food, friendly staff, at a great location in Amsterdam. Recommended for sure. Keep in mind that, unless you come early or trough the weekdays, a expected waiting time of around 15 minutes before...

Had breakfast here recently when we were visiting Amsterdam. We were recommended this place by our hotel’s concierge as this place is really popular with the locals. We had to wait for 10 mins on a rainy Sunday afternoon at 2 PM. So we would definitely recommend reservations as there is a long line typically or be prepared to wait.

The entrance is confusing as the restaurant is down a flight of stairs and the kitchen is up a flight of stairs. The space is a bit cramped. But we cozy up for good food so in we went. We had the breakfast bap (their version of breakfast burger with sausage), bubble and squeak Benedict (which was poached eggs on mashed potatoes), winter spiced apple granola and winter mushroom toast. We also their passion fruit chiller and coffee. Overall food was good and flavorful. Their breakfast bap was delicious and just hit the spot and their passion fruit chiller which was mildly sweet was very refreshing. I was a bit disappointed with their winter mushroom toast which was not creamy and had mushroom scattered all over. Their bubble and squeak Benedict was good but could have been more flavorful.

Service was nice and friendly, they may come off as rude but they are just very busy and we didn’t face any issues. Everyone was nice to us.

there is no reservation possible the greenwoods concept is purely for afternoon. It is packed mostly due to good pricing. the prices are fair some could be just a bit better but for the quality in prodcuts it is great. You really can taste the quality of the products but you can also taste they need to serve at almost fastfood pase to keep up with the vast volume of people. In different location there is different style of menu but also in products and adjustment of pricing. Do need to say due to fast delivering and stress, you can see for example elements that should grilled cooked on both side like toast, bacon not evenly and some not even. The service is really great very friendly. It is not your brunch style place it is just and crank level up. They are fast in taken care of your table whenever there is empty plate or glasses they will take care. Only complain will be the smoke and smell as you will smell it in your clothing after visiting.

Will I come back? Hmmm maybe for a brunch outside, for service is for sure. I will recommend if people are around and need breakfast and lunch will be great place to go. I will give it a high score as it hits much of...
