Lunchroom Fika Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

This is now my favorite café in Oud West, I am there multiple times a week. The coffee is great and so is their Fika on Toast – highly recommended! What I like the most about the place is that the service is unrushed, the tables are large, and the place is bright and spacious – the owners are also extremely nice & friendly.

Early mornings are quiet with most people sitting by themselves reading a newspaper or working away at their laptops – it gets busier around lunchtime but never overbearingly so. They also have a small outdoor terrace which is nice...

Disappointing experience. The coffee we ordered was only okay. I also got cow's milk after explicitly asking for oat milk. The waiters were not very present on the outside terrace so I didn't want to be bothered to ask for the right milk. The food was very pathetic. I ordered the vegan smoothie bowl. It wasn't a smoothie bowl but more like a sad smoothie in a cup with some slices of banana in it. There were no toppings on mine and I hadn't been asked for toppings. I appreciate businesses that really value their customers and care about their opinions and this is definitely one of them. My first coffee experience was just okay. After sharing my experience here, the owner responded in such a nice way that I was left with no other choice to come back.
