Dining at Pastis was nothing short of magical. Honestly, it was the best meal we had—every dish a masterpiece. We couldn’t resist and ended up ordering nearly everything on the menu, from the Caesar salad to the steak and all the deliciousness in between.
The Caesar salad was the best we’ve ever had—crisp, fresh, and unforgettable. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection, melt-in-your-mouth tender. And the mussels special? Heaven in a bowl, rich and flavorful, the kind of dish you dream about long after the last bite.
What truly made the evening shine was our server. She was incredible—warm, attentive, and made us feel completely taken care of, like we were guests in her own home. Her energy elevated the entire night.
And then, the fireworks surprise for my birthday—such a beautiful, thoughtful touch that turned an extraordinary dinner into an unforgettable celebration.

Read moreHas the feel and look of a real French bistro. With the staff being attentive, with good knowledge of wine and what they’re serving. The menu is quite small but the dishes taste really great. I loved the steak tartare and the duck was amazing. I’d say for the food standards in Amsterdam it’s way above average. The restaurant is very loud though, and that is the reason I won’t come back here. You can’t hear your table partner and only when there were a few tables left I heard there was music playing. Which is a huge shame, because it could’ve been my new...
Read moreNice French bistrot in West on two floors and a terrace that on a sunny day must be amazing. The place is quite small but with lots of tables, so the atmosphere is vibrant and alive. The menu is on one page, not so many options but a selection of starters, main and desserts. We chose a paté and a beef tartare, then the veal as main (our favourite dish) and ice-cream with caramel and creme brulé as dessert. A bottle of Suavignon blanc as drink (very good but it could have been served colder). Nice service, cozy place, liked the food, we paid 109€ in 2, overall it was a good night and...
