This has the feel of a French bistro. Very refined and dishes that looked amazing... Food was presented to a high standard and they tasted as good as they looked. In a party of 10 the food came out quickly for us all. The monkfish was cooked to perfection. With servings of wedges on the side for the group. Personally I didn't like the butter sauce as it was a little rich for me, but I'm sure it was just the thing for most people. I still enjoyed the fish very much. I really wanted shandy to drink but they don't have lemonade (sorry not very sophisticated I know) but a local beer and a tonic water hit the spot.

Food was pretty good. The complimentary trout pate was delicious. Also delicious was the ceviche - the flavour of the dressing was not overpowering and the fish was fresh and plump. A little disappointed with the fish and chips. The batter was a little soggy and the serving of fish was small. However it came with an ample serving of fries and salad. Love the location away from crowds but with enough cyclists going by to have something to look at :)

Let Forel has a nice combination of delicious fresh fish, nice and friendly personnel, and true French atmosphere. It was a good choice to book the very first shift as later it can get really loud and noisy. Ordered black cod as main to share couple of starters among which scallops could be a bit better. But amazed by the cod so all the rest tested delicious as well. Cosy area and attentive personnel made it all perfect.

Our dinner at Le Forel was not as good as we expected it to be. The food was of medium standard and the service was wobbly. Now I understand that this place has just had their opening.. but from my understanding you should start off as strong as you can to leave a good impression. Sadly this did not happen. Concerning the tasting menu: The shrimp croquette was one that you could find on any menu, very good | yet basic. The ceviche had nice flavours but the presentation of it looked rather messy. The lobster bisque was good, I have nothing else to say about that. But then we got served an overcooked cote de boeuf and a small piece of lobster that had an after taste of chlorine. And while we were eating our main course the manager/owner of the restaurant sat on a table next to us and started smoking a cigarette of which all the smoke blew into our faces. And the same happened during the dessert (which was a tough dry piece of chocolate fudge pie). Rather unfortunate and unprofessional. Steering clear from this...

It's okay. For sure overpriced for what it is and the taste is also mediocre. We came on Friday 7pm, and the service was struggling big time, despite the restaurant being 3/4 full. First the servers didn't get to us in 25 min to order, then got my lobster bisque luke warm and had to ask 2x for a spoon by which time it was pretty much cold, taste was also mediocre at best. Then the 45 euro Mac and cheese with Luke warm sided and cold middle..wtf? Also had to reminded the waiters that we had order a bread, which took for ever to come (3 slices for a table of 4...)so yeah I'm okay if people charging above average for a dish but the taste and service is behind big time. Won't...
