Hey there, culinary explorers! π Buckle up for another flavor-packed adventure with your favorite digital nomad. We're diving taste buds first into the vibrant Vietnamese restaurant scene in frosty Amsterdam! π²βοΈ
I was seeking a hearty bowl of Vietnamese pho to fight off the cold, just like many of my fellow Amsterdamers. I stumbled upon this snug little spot, perfect for 20-30 pho enthusiasts - a true hidden gem!
I went all-in, ordering the beef and meatball pho, summer rolls (what the Dutch call spring rolls), and the unmissable bhami. The pho danced on my tongue, even without the hoison sauce π. The beef-filled rolls were a hit - shrimp and I, well, let's say we're not on speaking terms.
But wait, there's more! The bhami, jazzed up with siracha sauce, got an extra kick from a dollop of hoison. My taste buds were doing the cha-cha! π
Now, let's talk drinks. I ordered the watermelon milk boba tea, and it was quite the thirst-quenching treat. A smoothie option would've been the cherry on top, but hey, we can't win 'em all.
Star-wise, I'd say this place is a 4.8, but who am I kidding? I'm rounding that up to a stellar 5! πππππ Enjoy the foodie photos, and until our next tasty trek, follow me for more 'Around the...

Coming in, the store is really small, about 30 people would fit in here, but it would be uncomfortable. The furniture is broken, I sat on a chair which would have collapsed if I would have tried to lean back. The tables were not clean at all so it was hard choosing where to sit down as nothing seemed appealing. The size of the restaurant forced us to sit directly in front of where the door opened, which made it awkward anytime someone wanted to enter or leave. When it came to ordering food, the waitress seemed really confused about their own menu as I ordered the beef with rice, even though it was not hard to understand as they do not have many dishes and I even pointed it out on the card. Waiting time for food was normal, the food itself came on a nice plate and was presented well, just not accurate to the picture on the menu. It was really fresh and delicious. I can recommend the homemade lemonade, it was really tasty. So generally, the food is really good but I would never come to dine in again. I would only order take...
Β Β Β Read moreDelicious food!! Superb tofu banh mi!!! I love Vietnamese food. I was craving it after going a month without it in Croatia and had a stop over in Amsterdam. After researching I decided this would be the best option and I was right. It was quite busy when I got there, and was greeted by smiling friendly staff. I ordered a chicken phΗ and tofu banh mi. The soup was delicious- donβt forget to add your preferred herbs and flavours. I like 2 lime slices, extra chilli, all the mint and coriander with a few dots of hoisin and hot sauce. Great portion. I ordered the banh mi to eat for breakfast, but when I got back to my room I thought I should at least try it when fresh- big mistake. I ate the whole thing and regretted not getting 2 right away. The bread was superb- soft and just crusty enough to give a crunch. The tofu was FANTASTIC! Tasty marinade. Do not miss this place!!! Sorry no photos of the banh mi, I couldnβt...
